@Pule3 other weapons just as reliable as the ak? No. Otherwise they wouldve had a bunch of hype surrounding them because of that. No weapons made today are as simple on the inside as the ak. Its 65 years old and its still the best assault rifle in the world.
@Vakicom not really. The ak is accurate up to 300m and the common firefight distance doesnt exceed 100m so accuarcy isnt a big problem. And it doesnt matter why it was adopted statistics still show it has killed more people than any other weapon system in the world and it has the best combat record of any firearm in history.
@demon07nd really?.... Because ive never heard a gun expert say a m16 is better than an ak47. And statistically, the m16 has almost no major advantages over the ak47. The ak47 is also universally considered the best assault rifle in the world and the m16 is considered one of the worst. Also, does it mean anything to you that we're comparing the oldest ak to the newest m16?...
@crackbaby1058 you are not completely right. АК-47 very old assault rifle. He has arrived on arms of Red Army in 1949.
From AK-47 it's much more difficult to shoot and hit the mark. AK-47 Was widely adopted in the world because it very cheap in manufacture and very reliable.
is he trying to overheat it? I mean the AK is pretty resistant, but that's a good 60 rounds within a minute and I'm pretty sure I caught sight of some ignition..
Dad was in nam...took a hill for an airfield..killed about 20 nva...buried them with thier ak-47's 2 years later the airfiled was motored..they needed to repave it...used dozers and came across 20 dead bodys with ak-47s rusted to shit...climbed in..got mud off one ak...still fired all 30 rounds on full auto.

@kalastius Ug, no. ANY other assault rifle using the short stroke gas piston is just as reliable as an ak. There are a lot of better assault rifles. The ak is old and outdated. It's just cheap. That's the only advantage and don't say the round because that round is used in A LOT of rifles.
@kalastius hahaha oh man, are you serious? The AK is a reliable weapon but there are other assault rifles that are just as reliable. As for the "AK bullet" you mean the 7.62x39 thats used in a SHITLOAD of firearms and was around BEFORE the AK? The reason there are a lot of them is because they were cheap when they were made and they are cheap now and cheap = plentiful. So learn a few things before you post bs. The AK is an amazing weapon, but you have no clue about why.
the ak47 many people see today as a very popular weapon is probably actually an akm. there were problems with the stamped reciever of an ak47 which made it less reliable, so it bacame made with a machined reciever, but this made its price rise considerably. the solution was a higher quality stamped reciever. the new gun was known as the akm. it was the most prolific of the ak series and the most likely to be encountered when kalashnikovs are present on the battlefield.
begining 1st round of call of duty nazi zombies you pull out your 1911 look around and say 'fuck this' 'kalashnikov give me strength' a lightning bolt streaks down and you pull out an ak-47 with a drum mag
@MrCobra811 The AK isnt all that great anymore. Times moved on more weapons being made. better calibers being created. Theres too many weapons that can keep up if not surpass the AK now. 50-60 yrs ago ya ok I can see that but not in the modern day.
@1bigtarget What most people dont realize is the AK shoots a smaller 7.62x39mm round. deadly yes but still not as hard hitting as the 7.62x51mm. I know several people who have been shot 3+ times by an AK and still made it. had it been the x51 round not a chance. why not use another rifle that shoots the 7.62x51 or the 6.8x43 SPC. Both have better power and ballistics than the 7.62x39 round. And the AK accuracy will never be able to match the ARs. so actually plenty of substitutes...
@Deadlydude107 yea the 7.62x51mm nato is a .308 the stopping power accurecy and muzzle volocity beat the ak any day of the week but the problem is in the recoil and the rifle is no longer classified as a assualt rifle its now a battle rifle becuase it uses full fledge rifle round i agree tho i think they should develop a 7.62x51mm in a small compact desighn that reduces recoil that way you have the most firepower in the smallest package
@1bigtarget The recoil can be solved by the 6.8x43 SPC low recoil, amazing ballistics, and awesome power. The 7.62x39 is using the same larger heavy bullet as the x51 but a smaller casing so it doesnt have as much powder burning to give it that extra push and power. And its a very very slow moving round. Again still deadly but not in the top 3. Especially now with the heavier 5.56 round thats about twice as deadly as the old one. The Ak isnt a bad weapon at all its just no longer stands out.
@Deadlydude107 You guys are saying that the AK doesn't standout anymore but it is such a good gun that people still use them all over the world. It almost never jams, one of the easiest guns to maintain, and is still deadly. There are many reasons that it has been around so long.
@SnipinAngel My guess is your in high school or around that age group. My job is a weapons specialist/ repairmen in the Army. I know these guns inside and out. And I deployed a convoy security to Afghanistan so ive seen most of these in action. Trust me when I tell you the AK is no longer the "king". stop goin off of movies, video games, and other retarded people that "think" they know what the hell theyre talking about. Just sayin study up. learn for yourself. there 100,000s of guns out there
@AlexUSSRussa I like using the H&K G3 as an example. Practically the easiest in the world to field strip, amazing accuracy (used as sniper rifles in some areas), shoots the 7.62x51 which is a hell of a lot more powerful than the 7.62x39 the AK shoots and has better ballistics, and absolutely amazing reliability. (which H&K is kown for). Used by many groups worldwide and cheap on the black market. But thats just one example. The AK is still good but its time to let it go as the best.
@Deadlydude107 Ak-47 A symbol of flags on some of the countries. Them it has been let out More than 100 000 000 in the world. I not to a dialect that it the best it popular.
@AlexUSSRussa 50+ yrs ago the Ak was the most reliable & all. It is on some flags. But theyre not going to design a new flag every time a better weapon comes out. People today play Call of Duty & think they know guns. COD isnt anymore realistic than Halo. But these kids will say one weapons better than the other. Why. there are 10,000's out there & they can only name the ones in COD. So people say a weapons best but cant back it up in real life. but ur right about the popular part unfortunately.
@AlexUSSRussa the 74 series is in my opinion a lot better than the 47 series. better round the 5.45x39 instead of the 7.62x39. a lot more accurate. just all around better.
@Deadlydude107 It is sad that new technologists, and the weapon of Russia hide from the whole world. And the West thinks that at us on arms till now AK - 47)))))
@AlexUSSRussa I new you guys didnt use the 47 series. If I remember right the 74 series replaced it. then the 103 & all them revamped the 47 series. correxct me if im wrong. its kinda the same here though. They came out with a new heavier & deadlier 5.56x45. and now an even better one that can penetrate more steel than a 7.62x39 round! but people that dont know guns always assume bigger calibers are better. both .408 and .416 are better than the .50 BMG and the 6.8x43 than the 7.62x39 an so on.
@Deadlydude107 in the end its not the bullet at all, its the shooter and the placement, example, .50bmg in the foot, .22LR to the head......guess who's dead? Even if both are at lets say 100 yards. Know your weapons limits and get good at shooting it and caliber doesn't matter.
@Deadlydude107 wtf, wow man good job giving me useless information, and by the way i wasnt talking about the calibers I was talking about the gun being useless and outdated, remember that comment? yea there are 100,000's of guns out there but the ak is one of the those guns that can't just be looked over. well i went way too deep into that for you, wasting my time. late thanks for just profiling based on your stupid opinion and I am quite the opposite but this is the internet and idontcarefaggot
@sk8tafrnk I don't think its possible to get banned by commenting. There is one guy that is infamous for spamming gun videos with some crap regarding a full auto Ruger 10/22 or now its one about Memorial day. Hes been doing that for years and he isn't banned.
@AdmiralGST Evidence? You have the fucking internet. Go look it up yourself. Search "my youtube account banned" in Google you moron. You have the mental capacity to send comments that violate Youtube's Community Guidelines but you don't have the ability to search in Google?
Fucking yeah right. Go FUCK yourself you impotent, feverish swine.
In the real world, an AK operator has the life expectancy of a may fly. If I see him in the scope of my old M-24, he dies at a grand. Far beyond the range of this stamped steel joke. I own a few AK variants, not impressive. Crappy groups, real iffy beyond 250 meters. No, I'll take nearly any rifle over the AK or it's variants. Pick about any other rifle and it is more accurate. With 6 plus million floating around the third world, is it any wonder they have a body count? Quantity not Quality.
@GunBroker100 Difference between a latrine cleaner who hunts deer on weekends and a military strategist/planner is knowing you can't give every damned line doggie an M24 or train them to use one to max potential without breaking budget. Plus, an M24 is a sniper's tool. You don't compare that to an AK either. So you're statement is without logic ergo it is worthless as an educated analysis and relegated to bullshit opinion. Thank you, try again.
@GunBroker100 You are not quite right, yes I agree that the shooting range ak-47 is not the best machine. There are machines much easier and more accurate. But the AK-47 assault weapons is not just for show, this weapon for a real war. Believe me I know what I say, I fought in Chechnya 1.5 years, and I know exactly what an AK-47 is the best weapon in the world. P.S. I had AK-74, but essentially it does not change.
@GunBroker100 Don't try to insult ANYTHING about russia/soviet union/communism or you will get BASHED by pro-soviet fuckheads on youtube. They seem to be everywhere on youtube. The AK has good fire power, and reliability, but is all boils down to MONEY. AK is overrated and it only respected because its the weapon of choice for the poor man and EVERYONE HAS IT. Im sure in a different world if everyone had a M16 for example, everyone in the world recommend it. Its all common opinion.
@Voss2120 Naw. Lots of people DO have M16s (AR15s). Common opinion kinds gets tossed out the window when you start doing comparisons such as NutinFancy has done. If you look at the reasoning to own a firearm such as these it all boils down to which is more Functionally Reliable and which has a higher Lethality. The lethality is strictly situational, for instance, if you and an enemy are standing 1K yards away from each other on the great salt flats with no wind. I would rather have the M16.
@Voss2120 The reason i would rather have an M16 is because the ballistic properties are more suited for longer ranges than the .30 round of the AK. The 7.62x39 round is just to heavy to compete at ranges past even 200 yards. Now, put me in an urban environment with lots of cover and battle ranges of less than 200 yards and i would reach for the AK. This is because its round has enough power to penetrate even heavier cover such as trees or brick walls, where the .223 falls short.
@Voss2120 Thats just for the ballistics. The lethality should be a bit more clear. Bigger bullet makes bigger hole, bigger hole mean more trauma. Though the .223 has had issues with tumbling which causes a ton of trauma, but none the less. You combine the ability to penetrate thick cover with the power of the .30 cal bullet and your talking about some mean firepower.
Now for functional reliability, you have got to give that to the AK. Its designed to take the worst beatings and keep on going.
@Voss2120 I have watched videos of soldiers getting the barrel so hot that they could bend it. They bent it back and shot it, do that with an AR! Also, combat it dirty. The AK is designed to chew through dirt, sand and water. The AR needs to be clean to function properly, the AK can be filled with mud and it will keep on truckin. From what i hear the AR has had a reliability overhaul and doesnt jam like it used to. But they still put the forward assist on it for a reason, AK has no assist =).
@Voss2120 Now, the AR has something that i would infinitely choose over the AK, customization. All you need is a lower receiver for the AR/M16 and you quickly change from AR to SMG to Anti Material or many other special purpose weapons. My conclusion, M16 for accuracy and range and the ability to adapt quickly without having to carry compete separate weapons. The AK for Lethality and reliability. Its a tough pick and thats why its so highly debated. I chose AK and I also own a Saiga12.
@Voss2120 Even though my AK is a WASR-10, my experience has been a good one. The Saiga12 is a different story. I cant stop talking about it lol! In every field you could think... Its far surpasses every other combat shotgun, and even most all sporting shotguns as well(if not all!) Its accuracy is superb, its reliability is irrefutable, its can fire any shotgun round on the market and it accepts 3"MAG as well as having 30 round drum magazines? Getouttahere...
@obeyance The AA-12 is also a nice autoshotty, I seen in one video on here of some guy calling himself a 'professional russian' and dual shooting them. It was hilarious.
@Voss2120 AA12s suck. The only think they are good for is the low recoil. They are limited to 2 3/4", they have a low mag count, they are not customizable, they are super bulky, and extremely expensive, and they only fire around 300RPM.
Saiga12 fires around 600-700 RPM, its super cheap, super reliable, very accurate, can have up to 30 round drum mag, very customizable, accepts 3"magnum and has a threaded barrel. The only think its bad as it recoil, and its controllable at worst...
@obeyance Yeh love to take a Saiga to ur average hunt in the UK, u get real smart asses who think they r the shit with their fancy shotguns, pull one of these out and u could take out the whole flock lol
my dad was in nam when they killed a vc and buried him with his ak-47....2 years later the airforce was using a bulldozer to make an airfield an came across the body with ak rusted to shit....they picked it up cleaned off the mud put a fresh mag in and.....you all know the answer...thing fuckn never stops
@VariableassaultX The AK is considered more reliable because you can treat it like shit and it still works, unless you clog up the barrel. To me this is a bit unfair because only dipshits don't clean their weapons properly, but the AK was designed for ignorant peasants anyways.
I wouldn't call an M16A1 "modern", it was straight-up fully automatic, mainly issued in Vietnam and was then replaced by later models that only fire 3-round burst. We're up to A4 now :P Sorry I'm just a bit picky.
@mlk22771 Because you can be ignorant and neglect maintenance and it still fires. That is the ONLY reason it's worth a shit. It's because it was designed for use by morons, literally.
I'm only guessing but Stalin was notorious for eliminating scientists and engineers so maybe Kalashnikov just got lucky.I mean he barely had an engineering degree, nor experience, let alone did he ever design a gun prior to the AK.Quite a fishy story, IMO the PPSH-41 was much better.
@mlk22771 Nah he had enough engineers to get this kind of thing done. The reason it's so reliable yet otherwise shitty is BECAUSE it's engineered with high tolerances and low precision, whereas the AR15 was engineered exactly the opposite. The PPSH-41 was better for more of a close-range, situation, like the Thompson. It was copied from a Finnish predecessor though, and is essentially stolen.
Didn't know it was a copycat, anyway the AK has major design flaws, the barrel seems to have very weak support by the lower receiver which makes it swing in all four directions during auto fire. Not sure to what extent the loose tolerances contribute but they don't seem to be the main culprit since the SIG 550 is largely based on the AK.
@mlk22771 Yeah there's always that too. I would think the SIG550 has a similar design to the AK but with tighter tolerances. Basically in terms of tolerancing in assault rifles you'll find that as reliability goes up, accuracy goes down.
@HptmSteinhauer absolutley, modern machines are built to specifics.....but the materials are produced on a budget so what we find is the end product winds up chewing up parts with a fierce appetite lol pity the developement team and the designer are not singing off the same hymn sheet nowadays.
@mlk22771 Very good point! I agree 100%. Fuck those other guys who like the AK-47. The only guys who want it nowadays are dudes who have little to no money.
In my OPINION it basically goes like this, for the general urban combat possibilities/short to medium ranges/indoors = AK47 variants > M16/AR variants. On the field with upkeep/long ranges/multiple environment possibilities/sharpshooting = M16 > AK47. They're both great designs, they each have their perks, and each have their cons... and they both fill their molds as they were intended to do during each of their development stages.
m14 is better in my opinion its more accurate then the m16 and ak47 its even more accurate then a g3 do to its longer barrel and is more powerful then both and its just a bit less reliable than a ak47 and the ebr model is far lighter so weight is no longer a problem
I personally like the Heckler and Koch G3 better than either the M16 or AK47. Handles well and is extremely durable. The M16 can't be a piece of shit if the British SAS use it. For a sniper weapon I believe the Russians use a Dragonov.
The M16 deployed in Vietnam was literally a prototype and it was also deployed WITHOUT cleaning kits. The ignorance of Washington lead to this happening. After that, it was improved by adding a forward assist and chrome lining internal mechanisms. Nowadays, the M16 is a very reliable weapon with all of the kinks worked out. Truly, the M16 is a much more modular weapon system than the AK-47. Don't believe all of the communist propaganda about the M16.

AK47 is the king of guns
MrCobra811 7 months ago 3
@MrCobra811 The AK isnt all that great anymore. Times moved on more weapons being made. better calibers being created. Theres too many weapons that can keep up if not surpass the AK now. 50-60 yrs ago ya ok I can see that but not in the modern day.
Deadlydude107 7 months ago
@Deadlydude107 the ak still has its uses if you absolutly positivly have to kill every person in a room except no substitutes ak47
1bigtarget 7 months ago
@1bigtarget What most people dont realize is the AK shoots a smaller 7.62x39mm round. deadly yes but still not as hard hitting as the 7.62x51mm. I know several people who have been shot 3+ times by an AK and still made it. had it been the x51 round not a chance. why not use another rifle that shoots the 7.62x51 or the 6.8x43 SPC. Both have better power and ballistics than the 7.62x39 round. And the AK accuracy will never be able to match the ARs. so actually plenty of substitutes...
Deadlydude107 7 months ago
@Deadlydude107 yea the 7.62x51mm nato is a .308 the stopping power accurecy and muzzle volocity beat the ak any day of the week but the problem is in the recoil and the rifle is no longer classified as a assualt rifle its now a battle rifle becuase it uses full fledge rifle round i agree tho i think they should develop a 7.62x51mm in a small compact desighn that reduces recoil that way you have the most firepower in the smallest package
1bigtarget 7 months ago
@1bigtarget The recoil can be solved by the 6.8x43 SPC low recoil, amazing ballistics, and awesome power. The 7.62x39 is using the same larger heavy bullet as the x51 but a smaller casing so it doesnt have as much powder burning to give it that extra push and power. And its a very very slow moving round. Again still deadly but not in the top 3. Especially now with the heavier 5.56 round thats about twice as deadly as the old one. The Ak isnt a bad weapon at all its just no longer stands out.
Deadlydude107 7 months ago
@Deadlydude107 your 100 % right
1bigtarget 7 months ago

Just sayin study up. learn for yourself. there 100,000s of guns out there
Deadlydude107 7 months ago
@Deadlydude107 Then what weapon is more popular Ak-47 and their updatings all over the world???????
AlexUSSRussa 7 months ago
@AlexUSSRussa I like using the H&K G3 as an example. Practically the easiest in the world to field strip, amazing accuracy (used as sniper rifles in some areas), shoots the 7.62x51 which is a hell of a lot more powerful than the 7.62x39 the AK shoots and has better ballistics, and absolutely amazing reliability. (which H&K is kown for). Used by many groups worldwide and cheap on the black market. But thats just one example. The AK is still good but its time to let it go as the best.
Deadlydude107 7 months ago
@Deadlydude107 Ak-47 A symbol of flags on some of the countries. Them it has been let out More than 100 000 000 in the world. I not to a dialect that it the best it popular.
AlexUSSRussa 7 months ago
@AlexUSSRussa 50+ yrs ago the Ak was the most reliable & all. It is on some flags. But theyre not going to design a new flag every time a better weapon comes out. People today play Call of Duty & think they know guns. COD isnt anymore realistic than Halo. But these kids will say one weapons better than the other. Why. there are 10,000's out there & they can only name the ones in COD. So people say a weapons best but cant back it up in real life. but ur right about the popular part unfortunately.

@Deadlydude107 served in army with AK-74M 5,45 and for two years it has never brought. Though at us in Russia the choice isn't great-)))))
AlexUSSRussa 6 months ago
@AlexUSSRussa the 74 series is in my opinion a lot better than the 47 series. better round the 5.45x39 instead of the 7.62x39. a lot more accurate. just all around better.
Deadlydude107 6 months ago
@Deadlydude107 Well and ка you concern to AK-100 series and to AK-200 series which are adopted now by Russia??

@AlexUSSRussa I know a little about the 100 series but havent heard about the 200s yet
Deadlydude107 6 months ago
@Deadlydude107 It is sad that new technologists, and the weapon of Russia hide from the whole world. And the West thinks that at us on arms till now AK - 47)))))
AlexUSSRussa 6 months ago
@AlexUSSRussa I new you guys didnt use the 47 series. If I remember right the 74 series replaced it. then the 103 & all them revamped the 47 series. correxct me if im wrong. its kinda the same here though. They came out with a new heavier & deadlier 5.56x45. and now an even better one that can penetrate more steel than a 7.62x39 round! but people that dont know guns always assume bigger calibers are better. both .408 and .416 are better than the .50 BMG and the 6.8x43 than the 7.62x39 an so on.
Deadlydude107 6 months ago
@Deadlydude107 in the end its not the bullet at all, its the shooter and the placement, example, .50bmg in the foot, .22LR to the head......guess who's dead? Even if both are at lets say 100 yards. Know your weapons limits and get good at shooting it and caliber doesn't matter.
DystruktoBoi1 6 months ago
@DystruktoBoi1 I hate to tell you but a 50 cal to the foot will still easily kill you
DramaticGnome1210 6 months ago
@DramaticGnome1210 if u roll around and let it bleed out yea, but not as fast a a .22 to the head would and that was my point, shot placement.

GunBroker100 8 months ago
@GunBroker100 Difference between a latrine cleaner who hunts deer on weekends and a military strategist/planner is knowing you can't give every damned line doggie an M24 or train them to use one to max potential without breaking budget. Plus, an M24 is a sniper's tool. You don't compare that to an AK either. So you're statement is without logic ergo it is worthless as an educated analysis and relegated to bullshit opinion. Thank you, try again.
bl91978 8 months ago
@GunBroker100 You are not quite right, yes I agree that the shooting range ak-47 is not the best machine. There are machines much easier and more accurate. But the AK-47 assault weapons is not just for show, this weapon for a real war. Believe me I know what I say, I fought in Chechnya 1.5 years, and I know exactly what an AK-47 is the best weapon in the world. P.S. I had AK-74, but essentially it does not change.
Piranoga 8 months ago
@GunBroker100 Don't try to insult ANYTHING about russia/soviet union/communism or you will get BASHED by pro-soviet fuckheads on youtube. They seem to be everywhere on youtube. The AK has good fire power, and reliability, but is all boils down to MONEY. AK is overrated and it only respected because its the weapon of choice for the poor man and EVERYONE HAS IT. Im sure in a different world if everyone had a M16 for example, everyone in the world recommend it. Its all common opinion.
Voss2120 8 months ago
@Voss2120 Naw. Lots of people DO have M16s (AR15s). Common opinion kinds gets tossed out the window when you start doing comparisons such as NutinFancy has done. If you look at the reasoning to own a firearm such as these it all boils down to which is more Functionally Reliable and which has a higher Lethality. The lethality is strictly situational, for instance, if you and an enemy are standing 1K yards away from each other on the great salt flats with no wind. I would rather have the M16.
obeyance 8 months ago
@Voss2120 The reason i would rather have an M16 is because the ballistic properties are more suited for longer ranges than the .30 round of the AK. The 7.62x39 round is just to heavy to compete at ranges past even 200 yards. Now, put me in an urban environment with lots of cover and battle ranges of less than 200 yards and i would reach for the AK. This is because its round has enough power to penetrate even heavier cover such as trees or brick walls, where the .223 falls short.
obeyance 8 months ago
@Voss2120 Thats just for the ballistics. The lethality should be a bit more clear. Bigger bullet makes bigger hole, bigger hole mean more trauma. Though the .223 has had issues with tumbling which causes a ton of trauma, but none the less. You combine the ability to penetrate thick cover with the power of the .30 cal bullet and your talking about some mean firepower.
Now for functional reliability, you have got to give that to the AK. Its designed to take the worst beatings and keep on going.
obeyance 8 months ago
@Voss2120 I have watched videos of soldiers getting the barrel so hot that they could bend it. They bent it back and shot it, do that with an AR! Also, combat it dirty. The AK is designed to chew through dirt, sand and water. The AR needs to be clean to function properly, the AK can be filled with mud and it will keep on truckin. From what i hear the AR has had a reliability overhaul and doesnt jam like it used to. But they still put the forward assist on it for a reason, AK has no assist =).
obeyance 8 months ago
@Voss2120 Now, the AR has something that i would infinitely choose over the AK, customization. All you need is a lower receiver for the AR/M16 and you quickly change from AR to SMG to Anti Material or many other special purpose weapons. My conclusion, M16 for accuracy and range and the ability to adapt quickly without having to carry compete separate weapons. The AK for Lethality and reliability. Its a tough pick and thats why its so highly debated. I chose AK and I also own a Saiga12.
obeyance 8 months ago
@Voss2120 Even though my AK is a WASR-10, my experience has been a good one. The Saiga12 is a different story. I cant stop talking about it lol! In every field you could think... Its far surpasses every other combat shotgun, and even most all sporting shotguns as well(if not all!) Its accuracy is superb, its reliability is irrefutable, its can fire any shotgun round on the market and it accepts 3"MAG as well as having 30 round drum magazines? Getouttahere...
obeyance 8 months ago
@obeyance The AA-12 is also a nice autoshotty, I seen in one video on here of some guy calling himself a 'professional russian' and dual shooting them. It was hilarious.
Voss2120 8 months ago
@Voss2120 AA12s suck. The only think they are good for is the low recoil. They are limited to 2 3/4", they have a low mag count, they are not customizable, they are super bulky, and extremely expensive, and they only fire around 300RPM.
Saiga12 fires around 600-700 RPM, its super cheap, super reliable, very accurate, can have up to 30 round drum mag, very customizable, accepts 3"magnum and has a threaded barrel. The only think its bad as it recoil, and its controllable at worst...
obeyance 8 months ago
@obeyance Yeh love to take a Saiga to ur average hunt in the UK, u get real smart asses who think they r the shit with their fancy shotguns, pull one of these out and u could take out the whole flock lol

supersmashbrosevil 9 months ago
@VariableassaultX The AK is considered more reliable because you can treat it like shit and it still works, unless you clog up the barrel. To me this is a bit unfair because only dipshits don't clean their weapons properly, but the AK was designed for ignorant peasants anyways.
I wouldn't call an M16A1 "modern", it was straight-up fully automatic, mainly issued in Vietnam and was then replaced by later models that only fire 3-round burst. We're up to A4 now :P Sorry I'm just a bit picky.

@mlk22771 Alot of things are beyond you.
zxzrp0 9 months ago
@mlk22771 Because you can be ignorant and neglect maintenance and it still fires. That is the ONLY reason it's worth a shit. It's because it was designed for use by morons, literally.
HptmSteinhauer 9 months ago
@HptmSteinhauer
I'm only guessing but Stalin was notorious for eliminating scientists and engineers so maybe Kalashnikov just got lucky.I mean he barely had an engineering degree, nor experience, let alone did he ever design a gun prior to the AK.Quite a fishy story, IMO the PPSH-41 was much better.
mlk22771 9 months ago
@mlk22771 Nah he had enough engineers to get this kind of thing done. The reason it's so reliable yet otherwise shitty is BECAUSE it's engineered with high tolerances and low precision, whereas the AR15 was engineered exactly the opposite. The PPSH-41 was better for more of a close-range, situation, like the Thompson. It was copied from a Finnish predecessor though, and is essentially stolen.
HptmSteinhauer 9 months ago
@HptmSteinhauer
Didn't know it was a copycat, anyway the AK has major design flaws, the barrel seems to have very weak support by the lower receiver which makes it swing in all four directions during auto fire. Not sure to what extent the loose tolerances contribute but they don't seem to be the main culprit since the SIG 550 is largely based on the AK.
mlk22771 9 months ago
@mlk22771 Yeah there's always that too. I would think the SIG550 has a similar design to the AK but with tighter tolerances. Basically in terms of tolerancing in assault rifles you'll find that as reliability goes up, accuracy goes down.
HptmSteinhauer 9 months ago
@HptmSteinhauer same analargy with cars................reliability goes up......power must come down....(cars are my first love..btw)
007bondspy 9 months ago
@007bondspy To some extent yeah, but it also depends on the materials they decide to use.
HptmSteinhauer 9 months ago
@HptmSteinhauer absolutley, modern machines are built to specifics.....but the materials are produced on a budget so what we find is the end product winds up chewing up parts with a fierce appetite lol pity the developement team and the designer are not singing off the same hymn sheet nowadays.
007bondspy 9 months ago
@mlk22771 Very good point! I agree 100%. Fuck those other guys who like the AK-47. The only guys who want it nowadays are dudes who have little to no money.

InRUSSIAweTRUST 9 months ago
@TheRussianWay I can say amen to that one!
KingdomAwaits 9 months ago
the Ak-47 does not have the best firepower that still have the Barret Cal.50 and the m2 machine gun
it was probably the assault rifle with the most powerful but it had the most powerful of all non-weapon

cobraopts7 9 months ago
I personally like the Heckler and Koch G3 better than either the M16 or AK47. Handles well and is extremely durable. The M16 can't be a piece of shit if the British SAS use it. For a sniper weapon I believe the Russians use a Dragonov.
McDago100 9 months ago
The m16 is realy a peice of shit that jams all the time, the evidence is Vietnam.
FloppyCat1990 9 months ago
@FloppyCat1990
