frankie is very playful in his lead...he loves to confuse the hell out of women so that they pay attention to the music instead of just to do the usual styling lol....even the turn patterns he teaches in classes are very playful....try his classes instead of making comments here
Frankie Martinez presents ABAKUA Afro-Latin Dance Company in a FREE one hour show live from Lincoln Center as part of the Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival. One historic evening Sunday August 9, 2009 7:30 pm. Come witness history!
I've said this before on one of his other videos, but Frankie can flat out dance. Period! Forget salsa, this man can move! One of my favorite parts is 2:23 to 2:38. He's real smooth here just feeling the groove and I like the way he eases back into the salsa thang. I have so much respect for his style and creativity. Just look at everyone else dancing around him--it's like they're vanilla ice cream and Frankie is some Tangy, taffy, rainbow mix with chocolate sprinkles...completely original!
In a much anticipated return, ABAKUÁ Afro-Latin Dance Company is proud to announce its upcoming performances in New York City. The performances will feature ABAKUÁ's signature style with choreography by Artistic Director, Frankie Martinez. Tribecca Performing Arts Center (June 19th - 21st). Dont miss it!!
Awesome dancing. I love this song. Its really interesting to compare the diff styles/interpretations of the dancers..there are old clips of francisco and shaka brown dancing to this same song on youtube. Personally I like all of thier interpretations and styles :)
Although I am not 100% sure, my impression is the girl is not April Genovese. I know how she dances. She is New Yorker, teaches in Boston. She performs with Yamulee.
"gte692h" same with me, i never get tired watching this clip.there are many great dancers out there but Martinez has a unique style and great smoothness. Frankie you are a great dancer and an inspiration to the salsa world.
I have probably watch this thing 100 times. My favorite dance video. The whole body of Frankie is just in sync with music. I like the black and white and angle of the video. Saw a great show of Frankie's Abakua at NYC salsa festival two days ago. It was so good. So much above everybody.
Frankie is amazing!! He is from NYC, former Eddie Torres dancer, now runs Abakua dancers. They are very reclusive but you can find them doing broadway shows, etc. He is on a whole different level of dance!!!
Hey Frankie I admire the way you dance, most of all becuase you are very connected to the music, I must also refer to the nice girl, I like her a lot, what is the name of the girl my name is roger from chile
i never tire of this video either, the effect is also a combination of the song, and frankies interpretation on it. his dance mirrored the emotion i felt when i hear the song. i wish more people would understand the meaning of a good salsa dancer.
Alot of leads can execute turn patterns, but how many actually dance to the music? Frankie is in a class by himself. I never get tired of watching this video.
guys if any one know the name of da song, just let me know coz im searching of this song from 3month ago and still don`t know whats da name of the song:(
