Im 16 years old and my parents are very into natural healthy life styles. when they began medicating me it was around 4rth grade because I was out of control. Many of the hyperactivity and unmotivated behaviors isn't intentional. Im medicated strictly during school only. Im also slightly dyslexic but i struggle more with ADHD. there is a difference between a brat and a kid struggling.

He actually refused to take the medication, which in turn made him better. I believe that kids should have a better say in what there opinion is on the drugs they get. However i am a firm believer in whoopassasilin it was used on me and my brothers, let me just say that the results led to the best discipline a child can get...and its free!

@thechurchoffuckyou I guess since I'm an adult with ADHD I should ignore my doctor's advice and just find somebody to inflict violence on me. After all, I found your video boring, yet I was able to pay attention.. so, you just might be on to something there.

a lower stimulus task does not.
This is because the brains of people with ADHD are different than average. MRI studies have clearly shown lower functioning in areas of the brain that deal with attention in focus in people with ADHD. And you know what? When the meds that you are calling "bullshit" are given, the activity in those areas of the brain increase.
Complaining about parents giving ADHD meds to children who need it is like complaining about diabetic kids getting insulin.

Your ignorance on the topic of ADHD is truly breathtaking. As an adult with ADHD who has also worked with children with ADHD, I can tell you that there is a HUGE difference between the behaviour of the average child and a child with ADHD.
As far kids with ADHD sitting in front of video games goes, that's because ADHD is an arousal disorder. It takes far more stimulus for the ADHD brain to focus on something than the average brain, so a high stimulus task like a video game holds interest while

@acerlutra - Lol. I couldn't wait for the medical side to come out. Thank you for your response, though I respectfully disagree. Let me guess, the people that are doing these wonderful MRIs are the ones selling you the "bullshit" pills? Science will "prove" anything that can be sold for profit. They are making millions, if not billions of dollars off this miracle pill. Do you really think they are going to show any evidence that it's bullshit?

@thechurchoffuckyou I could not agree more in fact my brother was on drugs for ADHD and i can tell you it made him alot worse than better. He actually refused to take the medication, which in turn made him better. I believe that kids should have a better say in what there opinion is on the drugs they get. However i am a firm believer in whoopassasilin it was used on me and my brothers, let me just say that the results led to the best discipline a child can get...and its free!

@acerlutra I have ADHD too I couldnt read till the age of six because of it and i was the most hyper kid in my class. when the teacher wasnt looking i actually got out of my desk and sttarted jumping around.

@acerlutra well to be honest not everybody is the same and therfore will not have the same "mindset" as everyone else. Not to mention the fact that children's brains are still DEVELOPING and that given TIME to GROW the development of focus and attention will increase in the child.
