  • I tell you what mate ..this song is older than I know ..but why does it still strike a cord to everyone..simple and lovely..where have all the lovely songs gone?

  • they don't write them. I live in the 1930's to the 1950's

  • Excellent! Finally got my Ukulele today & will be studying this until I have it down! I was at The Concert For George & this was a lovely moment - pretty much everyone in The Albert Hall in tears at the end of the concert! I love the original orchestrated versions of this song too of course but this has got a lot of people into ukulele, especially here in the UK. Thanks & respect! JC / England

  • this song is so beautiful! my grandma betty used to alway tell me i'll see you in my dreams before i went to sleep. i never knew it was from a beautiful song. thanks for sharing that with the world.

  • This is great stuff. What a demonstration. Learned a lot from this. Thanks!

  • is that got steel strings? i just spent $70AUD on a uke it has nylon strings and sounds like shit compared to that. also have you got chords or tabs for that you could post?

  • mrky here. messed 4 a minute. Be on it again in the morrow. I appreciate the heads up. I WILL get it. Playin it on piano , too. I need to slow down and lock in the melody. I'll let u know if u want.

  • Love all your videos, probably this one the most. I notice you use arrangements from a few of Beloff's books. Which books are your favorites (Beloff and otherwise)?

  • all of them, I also like my Jazz Fake Books and Beatles Fake Book. I take bits and pieces of them all and just noodle around with the arrangements.

  • Mark, I have looked high+low for that Jason Tagg link you referenced for this and can't find. Do you have it/can point the way? Thanks

  • I actually have this recording posted on youtube. This is the one where I am playing in a hockey rink in November freezing my fingers off. I played it too fast because I was freezing.

  • Thank you for the lesson. Still over my head but this makes me want to play better.

  • take it in pieces, you will get it.

  • Oh such a beautiful song wonderfully performed and taught! Thank you very much!! :-)

  • keep playing, and add these techniques a little at a time.

  • supercool, thanks to Verea for sending!

  • This tune was the first one I saw from you!and I immediately loved, kind of love of first hearing!

Muito bonita Marko, congrats for your art on Ukelele!

  • this is one of my favorite tunes to. I usually play this as the last song of the night when I perform.

  • Fantastic!!! I'll have to make a mis with this version and the tab posted by Dom of Joe Brown's version :-)

  • have fun

  • I wanted to write "mix" instead off "mis" :-)
