I love how this song evolves . It starts out with these weird distorted patterns & the catchy dialogue loop , Then it gets a bit reggae , & it just finishes with the punk stomper . Monkey for the win .

The Chinese doesnt outright call anything magical, its just inherent in the nature of the objects (obviously the pill and fan arent a normal pill and fan).

The girls sing, Princess, theres a Great Sage, Equal to Heaven here who wants borrow the fan (they say something more specific than the fan, Im just not sure what).

Guan Yin doesnt say, Congratulations, Monkey, she says, Congratulations, Wukong.

Then on the video, the Bodhisattva Guan Yin says, Youve come to retrieve the scriptures. Im not sure that shes saying that. I wish I could watch this with Chinese characters, but the pinyin doesnt seem to imply this.

The Guan Yin (in the video) also says, Your master Tripitaka, where is he? Actually she says, Where is the Tang Monk.

There are a few points that I think can be improved.

First, Princess Iron Fan says "The magical palm leaf fan is very powerful," not "My magical palm leaf fan, the fan is very powerful."

Then Monkey King says, Im protecting/guarding the Tang Monk going West, not Im guarding Tripitaka on a holy quest. Yes, I know that Tripitaka and the Tang Monk are the same person, but hes referred to as the Tang Monk here.

allanpalmer, not sure. but if you have knowledge of the language im sure you could be right. like i said i didn't do the translations myself, i just based it on a couple translations i found online and did the best i could.

The translation is pretty much spot on. I saw the full theatre production at the 02 Dome, even got the album with the translations.

This by far was one of my favourite scenes/tracks. Along with the underwater scene.
