  • @BBQFanNo1- you did'nt like crosby, stills & nash?

  • At one period around 1968 and 1969 some Rolling Stones songs actually sounded better than the Beatles like Jumping Jack Flash and Midnight Rambler from their live at MSG LP in 1969

  • @BBQFanNo1 The Beatles wrote some of the Rolling Stone's songs, lol

  • I forgot to mention early Rod Stewart with the Faces era too on LP's like Every Picture Tells A Story on the list of my favorite groups and singers from 1969 to 1973 period.

  • Comment removed

  • These were my favorite groups and singers from 1969 to 1973, TDN,Sly & The Family Stone,CCR,Steppenwolf,Free,Traffic,Mountain,Delaney & Bonnie,Ike & Tina Turner,Aretha Franklin,Chicago,B S & T's,Janis Joplin,Jimi Hendrix Experience,Buddy Miles,The Isley Brothers,Early Kool & The Gang before they were known for Hollywood Swinging but known for Funky Man in 1971,James Brown,Joe Tex,The Chambers Brothers,War,Santana,Dawn with Tony Orlando,Tom Jones,Elvis Presley live and in studio,The Temptations,

  • I knew a guy just like this back in the day - couldn't take him nowhere.

  • Summer of '70 nothing like it!

  • Boogie Nights!

  • i never really liked 3dog.... so why does this song really makes me want to drop acid after 40 years ? perhaps i better reconsider 3 dog night

  • @dgiaimo1 Randy Newman is murderously (now there's a word!) underrated as a songwriter...not to mention a pianist.

  • @adversecmbr actually Randy is highly respected in the industry.

  • Those were the good ol days.

  • there are some moms i know who wished their kids hadn't gone

  • Woho!! I was a young impressionable chap when this came out. I knew they were doing grown up stuff and I LOVED it!! :)

  • Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas :)

  • 42 years ago!! Holy fuck!!

  • @czech698 you must be high on acid. your comment makes no sense. or else you are a poet and i don't even know it.

  • Is the lead singer Nick Mangold's Dad?

  • @halfouts which lead singer? lol

  • @halfouts - the lead singer here Cory Wells only has two daughters .No- he's not Nick Mangold's dad... "the kid is not his son" :)

  • Those are some fly pants that keyboardist is wearing. It looks like he's making love to his instrument...with his instrument.

  • This song always made us laugh and sing along! I can hardly listen to it without having a beer in my hand.

  • You guys have it goin' on. Even today.... "Thanks." :) xo I grew up with your great music..

  • I'm trying to figure out what style of music this is, Sounds like a combination of bluegrass, soul and folk.

  • Back when music was good music, men were men, women were women, and the sheep were nervous.

  • Randy Newman! Don't leave him uncredited!

  • This is one of the coolest songs ever..Corey Wells is awesome. Great band, great talent, stilll going today.

  • MY FAVORITE BAND OF THE 70'S such a trademark sound, when I hear this song, it brings me bacl in time, better than any memory!

  • i remember cory from way back in the days of the cory wells blues band.very nice guy to talk and hang out with.

  • White Rap!

  • The organ work on this is absolutely distinctive. No other song sounds like this.

  • @CurtHowland - on the studio version the keyboard was a Wurlitzer electric piano played through a Leslie speaker cabinet. The Leslie was originally designed and intended to compliment the Hammond organ. It gives that 'underwater jelly wobble' to the piano sound.

  • RANDY NEWMAN

  • This is what live music should be! tight!

  • Tight!

  • 64 people suck

  • Great live sound from back in the day!

  • 64 people didn't want whiskey or sugar!

  • @KellyGiftShop Because they weren't innovative.

  • @KellyGiftShop That's a VERY Good question?? I think it is because they flame out so quickly but it definitely because they weren't great...because they were!

    One word ... HEROIN

  • @skydogging Cause the hall is a joke!

  • @skydogging I must agree with you there. Three Dog Night was one of the best bands of the time. I listened to them on the radio during my high school years. Great stuff!! Puts the music (if I dare call it that) of today to shame.

  • @skydogging Same reason Chicago isn't, stupidity.

  • @skydogging I rather them not be in it if Madonna is in it.

  • @skydogging Thats due to the musically illiterate ,pseudo intellectuals at Rolling Stone magazine ,isnt it ? Oh so fucking sad !

  • rad stache!

  • In the early 90's I was on a plane to AZ. and I was sitting next to the singer here,Cory. He was telling me that He was in a band and was going to perform at a convention in Phoenix.. We talked nearly the whole flight and it wasn't until the plane almost landed that I asked, "So what's the name of your band"? and he says Three Dog Night...I was like Nooooo..lol

  • @KREEPNASTY1 Wow that's awesome. Damn if only you asked that question earlier imagine the conversation yall could have had!

  • @wolfgange63 Well we still talked about the group afterwards. I asked him what song he sang and he said, "Mama told me", as well as others of course...I told him I thought it was the black guy in the group that did this song. He said ,"Everyone always thought that,But the brother was on drums".

  • @KREEPNASTY1 Sweet! Yea he had that raspy blues sound to his voice.

  • @KREEPNASTY1 OMG what a GREAT story! Wow! That is really cool! They seem like really nice guys! You lucky bum!!

  • @KREEPNASTY1 I love that when you meet someone famous and they talk to you as any normal person with out all the Im so totally TOTALLY IT !!!
