I feel ur pain, I worked as Respite for 7fostercare teenage girls. All the things I did (above & beyond what was expected) 4 those girls I never got a thank U & was told the same thing."Who told U 2 do this"? I just said 2 myself they don't know how 2 receive kindness-love! Jesus went 2 the cross 4 ur sins, How many Believers have Thanked Him 4 that???

I am one of the people who has too much pride to ask for help, but if someone offers me something or gives me something..I NEVER turn it down. my mom taught me better and my friend taught me the phrase "I don't turn down nothing but my collar" I hate that people can be so ungrateful...I love goodwill btw..don't let that stop you from helping! Hair is on point!!

I understand what you are talking about. And sometimes people don't know how to say thank you or be thankful for what they are blessed with. Times have really changed because when I grew up. You knew to say thank you even if you didn't want it. Because in the long run you would probably use it. Its not what you get its what you do with it. I learned to let people stay in whatever state they want to be in. Because if I tried to help and they didn't want it. Thank I just let God handle it.

So sorry to hear of your experience, Jo. You know, the enemy wants to take that good and turn it into an ugly thing. It's certainly not you, the world is a cold cold place now and the hearts of many have turned to ice! Perhaps that/those person/people you tried to help didn't get it but, don't stop cuz that is what the enemy wants. Keep moving forward. So true about realness! I wondered the same, too! LOL! We all have to stay focused to keep our hearts and those around us soft. Hugz!

I can so relate to this topic !

I am unemployed and I always try and help others regardless of my financial standing. But what kills me is people who can't say Thank You or those who think because you helped them once, that you should continue helping them on a monthly basis !

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I just pray and give it up to God because like you, I don't want to change either, I have a good heart and I always try and help others.
