Problem with a Bold Screen Display

Hey guys I have the SOLUTION to this problem. As italianmr97 stated you have to navigate towards the settings in your phone as best you can and change the brightness to 100. This will get it in a working state. However you may noticed the resolution is a bit messed up, you occasionally see lines and stuff like that so I am hoping that a software update from 4.6 to 5.1 will solve this. I will keep you guys updated :)

@Jerker34 hey, after having this problem, my screen eventually turned all white. i know the internals operate because when i get messages from special contacts i have custom leds that flash.

its your connection on the screen one of the pins is off or missing aka get a new screen or know what you are doing...

same with my BB bold, i keep looking for answers online,tried battery pull, ctrl alt del on bb, but im scared to open it by myself to check if the connection with mother board is tight, when i read here to use blower or hair machine and heat it up i tried it, not 100% that it work fine but much better than before, its working ok now for the last 2 days, i'll update you guys what will happen

same thing happened to me all you need to do is put the backlight up to 100 then it will work normal i dont know whyy but it works !!!!! :) let me know if it works

@razhasa no, u need to make it hot. with a hair machine. really it fixed lol. this comes when it gets overhitted. u need to make it hotter, because then its closes, and restart is and it works.

Screen ribbon cable issue. It happened to me and took willpower to stop me throwing it against a wall. Cure? : new screen

i have the same problem. it happens when you bring your phone to the bathroom while your taking a shower in hot water the steam messes it up

have you replaced you screen? looks like the problems shown when replace the screen with the wrong replacement code.

i have the same problem, I open the phone and clean the screen contacts and the problem stop... hope u can fix it!

hmm... looks like a damaged ribbon cable. you will need to replace the screen you cannot just replace the cable
