@MrJustinisaacs. He is what they call a "spotter". He watches for traffic ahead and possible landslides leaving the driver to focus on the road. But their job is much more important that than. Infact in India I think you have to have a spotter when driving a truck or a bus.

A Bus drives NOTHING like a car. You have to watch out for the rear end swinging out when u turn, the front turning wheels are a meter BEHIND the driver mean you have to turn much later than normal, and if u studied maths, its a rectangle trying to navigate roads meant for squares (cars). It takes at least 3-4 years of full time driving till you can call yourself a professional.
