MLB rule book states that a ball can bounce fair first and go foul and come back into play and be fair IF and only if the ball rolls/bounces back into fair territory before it gets to 3rd base and if it hits the bag it is fair no matter what and this is a bad call but 2k baseball is really never good at all i think the bigs is good yes i know it is 2k but it is better the this crap i have this and i miss the MVP series by EA sports i have 2005 best one ever

The ball has to cross the base in fair territory...if the ball is rolling down the line fair terriory but goes foul before it crosses the base it is ruled FOUL...it didn't so the ball is foul. Remember this is a game so it can't be perfect...actually this is realistic becuase the umps in the Majors are terrible anway

wow u say the game sucks with one bad call. Lol. On Mlb 09 the show. On the road too the show i am a pitcher and the umps always call balls on the corner that are strikes. I don't like that glitch. Because that makes it hard to place a fastball. And it makes it hard to get a groundball. The knuckle and the 12-6 curve are always hard to place without being a ball because the umps won't ley you knip the corner. Thats what i hate. Thats the glitch in my game.

You are, of course, correct - that should be judged foul. If it's foul before first or third base, it is foul - the only way that may have been fair is if it jumped from fair to foul over the base, which it clearly didn't.

The people who are arguing that it's fair sound a lot like the spectators at high level games I umpire. The coaches and players never complain, just those who don't and can't play, coach, or officiate at a high level.

Looks like the Wii isn't as accurate as we are. :)
