  • Great guitar solo by Jason Falkner, originally by Joey Molland

  • Spilt Milk was a masterpiece!!! One of the best albums ever. I saw the Spilt Milk tour performed at 6 flags Magic Mountain in 93 and was blown away.

  • one great pop band pays tribute to another

  • Where was this filmed? I saw them at Hammerjacks (Baltimore - HFStival), around this same time.

  • Wow its got to be hard to sing and drum at the same time

  • The best cover of this song! It's unfortunate that there were a couple of mistakes on the lyrics, but they nailed it on the "Jellyfish Comes Alive" disc! "Bellybutton" is Power Pop perfection!

  • Bellybutton by Jellyfish is one of my favorite albums of all time. Great vocals and guitar work. (Spilt Milk disappointed.)

  • I used to think Bellybutton was better until I made a compilation up for myself and there were more tracks from SPilt Milk on it.

  • I actually like Spilt Milk much better, not that Bellybutton is bad AT ALL. They're both fantastic.

  • I love Bellybutton, but they grew so much during the making of Spilt Milk that I tend to lean toward it. Two totally different albums: one more ambitious, the other more cohesive.

  • A great cover of a great song! Jason did a long, blistering solo when they performed this song in Oklahoma City in 1991. Andy mentioned that his mother was from Oklahoma and that as a kid he would spend his summers here. They then did a song he said he "wrote on the plane". The only lyric I remember from the song was "Oklahoma....you're ok".

  • I think Andy acually made a comment in a similar cynical vein after the song, but that's the bit I cut out for less downloading. No thanks required.

  • Learn the lyrics, guys, or don't do the song. Nice guitar work, though.

  • Andy actually didn't make THAT many errors. Mostly he just transposed the verses and said "want you" instead of "with you". When you're a band that covers songs that efficiently I honestly don't think it matters if you screw up a little bit.

  • I agree, it's the tight a cover musically that a few bung lyrics really make no difference.
