  • got the same gauges

  • Im not as smart as some people when it comes to boost and egt's. If i have a duramax for example, and i put on 4" turbo back straight pipe exhaust, will it lower or raise my egt's? If egt's get too high on a stock engine with straight pipe, what do i do? How much boost is too much for a stock engine? what do i do if i have too much boost?

    Thanks, any help is appreciated...

  • egts would go down when u add a straight pipe. if they r still to hot u need water meth, a new turbo (which probably isnt nessicary because stock duramax turbos can support 500hp) and a new tune. im not sure how much boost is safe but unless ur running injectors u should be fine

  • id watch that as 1500f can melt some steels.

  • I know, I never pull anything and beat on the truck like that. NEED A BIGGER TURBO!!!lmao

  • i have an Hx40 on mine. i love it. get an Hx55 off of an old truck like me. i'm making my own compounds!

  • you just block the wastegate and let fuel govern boost.

  • This is correct sir. I pretty much peg out my egt's, lol.

  • Funny how some people come out of the "woodwork". Impact240sx has actually gone for a ride with me when I have hit 60 before and he can vouch for me(on a cool night of course). When I did THIS pull I actually had a small "dime size" hole in the lower hotside coupler too, lol

  • my friends 12 valve does 81psi

  • Nice!!!

  • @Steelerfan11228 Allways a friend...

  • heh thought it was a car nvm QQ

  • Yea theres no way in hell a stock turbo can push 50psi with out blowing your motor right then and there.......

  • Wow you really know alot about diesels dont you? haha. Pretty common.

  • diesels are built way stronger and will outboost any shitty ricer by 10 psi STOCK

  • well no shit, diesels run off of pressure, diesels have no power without a turbo, but a gas motor makes better horsepower with out a turbo compared to a diesel without a turbo, turbos just belong on diesels, its what give them suck good torque, my probe running 12 PSI can burn through the tires, its torquey as hell

  • @fordlightning thats because its fwd. 12psi your probably only making low 2xx's whp. drop the clutch anything can "burn the tires"

  • @fordlightning LOLwhat does burning through tires have to do with torque? my golf 1.8 sohc N/A with about 50WHP can burn tires. burning tires dont mean shit.

  • @juechter Way to respond to a year old comment.

  • @fordlightning like i care.

  • @juechter lol dumb shit. have fun.

  • @fordlightning cock muncher.

  • @juechter Your so cute with your immature words :)

  • @fordlightning yeah, your mom likes it when i swear at her too.

  • @juechter You don't know how to come at me do you? lol.. your cool. thats for sure ;) good job at failing at life.

  • @fordlightning no i dont come at faggots so im pretty lost when it comes to coming at you. and thanks man! :)

  • @juechter You have fun being retarded ok? ok :)

  • but the shitty ricer would fly by :P

  • @p4po @bighunterman77 Mytwinturbomegacab Would Shit on a Ricer anyday! Talking 75psi 200hp injector, stacked edge/Smarty stage 3 bd tranny and all the other goodies you can think of including dualPPE fuelpumps, dont dubt a diesle, or Eat Coal

  • @bighunterman77 That's because you dont get power from the boost of diesels, where you actually get power from the boost of a gas car, so yeah you can outboost them on a diesel, but their only purpose is to burn all the fuel and lower egts.

  • @bighunterman77 they dont rev as high

  • @bighunterman77 haha it doesn't matter because that truck thats running an extra 10 psi weighs twice as much and by the time im spooled up and moving your "fast" pickup is 10 cars back.

  • @chinathatswhereitis lol thank you i didnt even have to waste my time.

  • Not much more than superheated air at those pressures with that turbo. That is well out of that turbos MAP range.

  • probably got a boot fooler, hx35 is genraly wastegate at 35lbs hence the nae hx35

  • Stock HX-35 w/ wastegate on a cummins 5.9 is set 18-22psi. Its either has a boost fooler or the WG isnt hooked up

  • no stock turbo is pushin 50psi killer u fucked up puttin that gauge in or sumthin.. if that shit was real youd have been blastin past that red car in front of u..not creepin up behind it

  • Nice pull!! Stock turbo?

  • Yes stock HX35

  • Just sayin, be very carefull over 40psi man, if your puttin down 350hp then 38psi will be good to go and intake temps will be alot cooler. That hx35 wont last long at 50psi and thats way out of its eff. range. Goodluck!

  • I know it isn't effecient at that. I plan on getting sc300 soon. Thanks!!

  • Awsome, get it a big brother while your in there haha

  • Is this a 12 valve?

  • yes

  • OK, well then,..... I made 348whp and 825 wheel torque, does that have anything to do with that?? lol

  • that was not 50psi it was about 45 maby if you havent fucked with your gauge becides 45psi is totaly un nessasary and il bet your truck is still slow

  • Well the truck with the stock turbo and inj. went 143 in the 1/4 and I ran a 9.23 in the 1/8. Not to bad for all that weight.

  • that has nothing to do with 50psi

  • Very nice.

  • Thanks
