  • Apparently being bisexual means I don't get to be a special unicorn because it's just a phase and I'm a slut looking to get more guys. My best guy friend is bisexual too though, and HE gets to be all bold and a role model and sexually liberated and shit. :P

  • Very proud of my Adobe co-workers and my company.

Sheesh...gettin' a little misty over here....

  • Hey everybody! I'm so moved by the video. I'm 18 from a latin country where queers are strongly discriminated. I'm queer and I've suffered a lot due to it, for everything these people mentioned . I'm still in the closet, which is something that is killing everyday, I even tried to suicide when I was 13, but I won't do that again, cuz I've already accepted myself, although I'm afraid to come out, I feel I can't

  • Hey everybody! I'm so motivated and moved by the video. I'm 18 from a latin country where queers are strongly discriminated. I'm queer and I've suffered a lot due to it, for everything these people mentioned you go through being a gay boy and teenager. I'm still in the closet, which is something that is killing everyday and I even tried to suicide when I was 13. I won't do that again, cuz I've accepted myself, but nobody else seems to take me on if I say I'm how I'm.

  • Adobe Reader / Flash is now like a virus. If you have it installed nowadays it is wanting to update itself regularly (absolutely not required) and prompts you when you log on.

people should'nt have to goto msconfig or services to stop this shit happening, it's a hindrace and a it's a pain in the ass

  • I need to bring these comments back to life IT GETS BETTER KIDS!! Be yourself and don't let these bullies get you down!

  • I was Adobe's first gay employee. Well done!

  • Adobe has hot men working there, i should apply rhere :P

  • Well done. Thank you for creating this! <3

  • @ArseneLAB, it is good that you never suffered for being gay. But this project started well after the 80's, when kids who did suffer, who were victims, took their own lives. I live in a conservative community, and there certainly are hateful people, and it is worth it if this video helps even one lonely kid. It was made as an act of kindness, and kindness is never wasted. Don't be embarrassed by this video.

  • is this video from, like, eighties? being gay means being a victim? or - do we really have to explain to people that "it's not as bad as it looks"?

my gay myself is a little embarassed from the video. i always had a great life. i dont feel like a disabled person. i dont actually feel as gay person - i am who i am no matter who i love, who i live with or who i fuck.

so get over the past, move forward and just live your life! nobody actually cares if you're gay or not these days. :)

  • @ArseneLAB Tell that to 15-year-old Lawrence King from Oxnard who was gunned down in his classroom by a classmate for being gay a little over three years ago. Just because your own personal experience has been unlike those portrayed in this video does not mean these type of hate incidents do not occur on a daily basis elsewhere in this country.

  • we commit suicide because we ARE alone in our town. No one seems to understand or to sympathize. I cant take any more of this. In reality..... I am just a mistake.I hate waking up... I hate going home... I hate falling asleep at night to nightmares. I hate being made fun of. They all tell me god hates me. i think about suicide every day. there isnt a moment of my life i dont spend wanting to hurt myself.help me please..... anyone...

  • @wild2dreamer

God doesn't hate you. Of course he doesn't hate you dear! And certainly, there are people who love you. Or who will love you in the future.

You may be alone in your town, but you are not alone in the world. There is a big world out there, full of kindness and equality. As hard as it may be now, and it sounds very difficult, it will get better. Find someone, a trusted teacher, adult to talk to. And never, ever think that you are alone. Because you're not. People care.

  • @australianmiss .....thanks... i will try to keep that in mind... =/

  • @wild2dreamer hey i was reading your comment and i just wanna say i know how you feel. i hate to sound like everyone else but your not alone. i know what its like to want to end it all. i myself have come close to suicide several times. i hated who i was. i finally found an interventionist who i was able to talk to. i remember a week ago today i told them and now that i have i feel so much better. its baby steps. find someone you can talk to, you'll be so much better off when you do. trust me.

  • It's not just other gays who will understand. It's not only gays who will accept you, befriend you, support you - hire you! My husband sent me this url, and we're straight, old, middle class (laugh)! Everyone is different, and ***that is good!*** Hang in there, and outlast the bullies, because you not only need your life and your future, *the world needs you.*

  • what is the sense of talking about the time in our life when the only things that counts and will remain constant will be your passion of doing certain stuff and having some passions. If you can't pass that sitouation, when you feel lonely or whatever i think that you are not a normal person, you are weak. Getting over those problems is not something to be proud of. It's just normal. Excuse me if my english is not so good, i'm not a native speaker.

  • Is the one at 0:17 a man or a woman? I don't.... I don't see it.

  • Always had gay friends growing up. Never understood why people have such a problem with it.

  • It's weird to think that the people at Apple are working to crush these Adobe people.

  • Every time I see an "It Gets Better" video, I find myself perilously close to tears. One by one, the presenters offer up raw and painful memories of bygone days to their viewers. Confusion. Loneliness. Teasing and worse.

Are they angry? Are they bitter? Are they heartbroken? No. They're just sharing their perspective to take some of the sting out of the experience for the next generation. I hope to see the day where being gay is utterly mundane. Until then, I salute each and every one of them.

  • why has youtube deleted the second one??

  • Why has the Apple one been blocked?

  • I agree with them. If you just hang in there, it WILL get better. :] Amazing video!

  • With so many creative homosexuals working at Adobe, why does Flash still suck?

  • Loving the 'It Gets Better' campaign. Shows that brands can be good for people, and everyone can be successful from all walks of life.

  • If possible, go to a better school if you're at a jock school. I went from a "football" high school to a school that specialized in the arts and the social dynamics were like night and day. Changed my life and the openly gay peeps there didn't feel so much like fish out of water. High school sucks ass but a good school makes all the difference.

  • This is a really inspiring video for gay people in the world, and even people who aren't gay. It gets better. That needs to stick with me right now, I'm going through a really tough time (family issues) and this motto is just fantastic

  • "It gets better" is one of the best things I've ever seen enabled by the Internet. Ten years ago, this message would never have reached the kids who need it the most.

  • @chrisholland with that mindset you will have to avoid almost every single major US and International corporation. I hope you can farm, hunt, build, repair, and create everything you need to survive in this world.

  • Wow. Very well made and amazing message. Being a father of small kids, I want them to live in a world that treats them with love, respect and dignity and vice versa.

  • Awesome!!!!!! New found respect for Adobe too.

  • This video makes me so proud to work at Adobe. I'm out and proud here at work and have never felt any form of disrespect or disdain. My entire team knows about me and have no trouble with me. I wish I had something like the "It Gets Better" campaign when I was young - perhaps I wouldn't have spent the first 39 years of my life in self-loathing! Thanks Adobe!

  • I'm proud of those of you in the video, and proud of my company. Fantastic.

  • Even as a conract employee of Adobe, this makes me proud to work here. Thank you to all of my GLBTQ co-workers for this.

  • Thank you Adobe...you are consistently making me more and more proud to work here.

  • I yearn for the day when my partner of 26yrs is finally comfortable enough to walk down the street holding my hand.

  • I proudly work at Adobe. I can relate to this video as well. My car was spray painted LESBIAN and my brother's jaw was broken when he walked passed a bunch guys. They were calling him FAGGOT as they beat the crap out of him.

  • How do you fight bullying? Give them role models by having young LGBT professional go into the schools.

  • That's good - really good.

Adobe's oppressive industry monopoly, on the other hand, only gets worse. Equality means LGBTQ people can engineer execrable bloatware as well as anyone else.

  • my 2011 resolution - I will not do business with homophobic culture organisations...

Pixar, Microsoft, the Whitehouse, Adobe - these are all now organisations I am happier to do business with - (and I'm not even gay! but my daughter is)

Thanks guys - keep the dominoes tumbling.

  • They did well, Im suprised!

  • Can I apply for a job there, like, now?

(disclaimer: I'm underage, but we don't have to tell anybody)

  • I'm a heterosexual teenaged girl, and I felt exactly the same my entire life, but it wasn't about my sexuality, it was about me being me. :(

  • This was pretty fantastic.

I have to congratulate Adobe on this amazing job.

...now I feel bad about being such a pirate. :|

  • Awesome job Adobe !

  • 1:20 he looks like Matthew Fow but bigger.

  • What a lovely idea for a video, such a positive message.

Homophobia is such a pointless, disgraceful and vacuous prejudice to indulge in, and is progressively becoming as shameful and embarrassing to admit to as racism. I am so glad that it is no longer 'acceptable' and homophobes are themselves being forced into 'the closet'.

  • You guys did a fantastic job. Thank you so much.

  • Im crying

  • It should bring tears to your eyes, too...

  • I was bullied, and bashed. I've yet for it to get better, but this makes me believe it will.

  • Wow this is a great video

  • i love this :)

  • Great message y'all, thanks for posting this.

  • adobe rocks..

an AMAZING video. Thank you so much... this gave me so much hope.

  • what an awesome video

  • this is so amazing

  • Great video. Never been more proud to work for Adobe.

  • @galvanenator it doesn't have anything to do with you galvanenator, but i couldn't post, I don't know why, i'm sry: Hey everybody! I'm so moved by the video. • I am so proud of my cousin (by marriage, I am proud to call him my cousin) for speaking out.

  • Bravo friends.

  • Proud of my sis and my sis-in-law. Love you gals!

  • I miss you guys. I wanna come home.

  • I am so proud of my company and my friends! What a beautiful video.

  • What a wonderful video. Thank you, Adobe, and thank you everyone in this video. ADOBE ROCKS!

  • I applaud all of you guys and Adobe for doing this. I am fortunate to have been able to work with many of you and as a straight guy I think what you guys are doing is awesome. I hope there comes a day when gay friends don’t have to say that they are different. You are not different rather you are gay, just like some people are men and some women, some Black, some Hispanic, some White, we are all people and that is what matters.

  • bravo! nice work.

  • This is really wonderful. Thank you Adobe!

  • good stuff boys 'n girls ... more companies should make this type of vids
