A group of human colonized Vekta, the ISA came to claim Vekta theirs and banned the first group to Helghan, this group evolved on Helghan to become Helghast.

From what I can make out of it, the ISA did to the Helghast what the League of Nations did to Germany after WWI with the Treaty of Versailles, thereby giving the people of Helghan a reason to elect Visari due to being oppressed for trying to expand. tl;dr The ISA was responsible for creating Visari just like the League of Nations was responsible for creating Hitler. imo

@terminater72 well in killzone three they pretty much go 'hey rico killed an unarmed VIP that we were supposed to catpure, but let's just pretend he didn't do that' and then they turn narville into the biggest pussy ever. KZ3 was good, but the storyline definitely wasn't as good as this one, nor did it even blend in well with the other killzone games.

He never appears in the single player so i first assumed he died, but when you play coop, natko's actually the guy the second player plays as, so this really doesn't make any sense here. I can only assume that by this natko lives but they never decide to show him in any of the vids.
What I could never understand is why the Helghast need to wear their breathing masks on Helghan - I thought the cannon followed that they adapted to the caustic atmosphere on Helghan and became a stronger, more resilient species than humans? If anything, shouldn't it be the ISA troops who need the breathing protection while invading Helghan? :-S
I think that they didn't kill Visari becuase inthis, it looks like he has brown eyes. Whereas in the opening cutscean he has blue eys and after the credits in Killzone 3, it's Visari who was on the ship.

Helghan's environment took a heavy toll over time. The ISA combat invasion never inteded a long-scale operation, and hence, the gasses don't weaken to their full potential. Any dusty and windy environment where the air has a lot of sediments like Helghan, the air will in the long term, cause breathing problems. When you see the KZ2 intro, the UCBN news has on the scroller text "Helghan's Atmosphere: A threat to our troops?" to address that exact issue.

Helghan's environment took a heavy toll over time. The ISA combat invasion never inteded a long-scale operation, and hence, the gasses don't weaken to their full potential. Any dusty and windy environment where the air has a lot of sediments like Helghan, the air will in the long term, cause breathing problems. When you see the KZ2 intro, the UCBN news has on the scroller text "Helghan's Atmosphere: A threat to our troops?" to address that exact issue.
