There are some players that are great. Some are pure visual delights. Of all the players that I've watched in action, Mark Waugh, VVS Laxman, Damien Martyn, Mahela Jaywardene and Brian Lara have been the easiest on the eye. In that order as well.

Lara is the only one one on the list that I would unapologetically call a great batsman, but the others were fine players in their own right too.

One should watch the way he played shane warne in 2001 in India. While Tendulkar gave nightmares to warne, It was amazing to watch laxman play warne when he was bowling round the wickets into the rough. Batsmen from other teams get bowled round the legs. Laxman stood way out side the leg stump and on front foot used to hit it with the spin through covers!! and he did it time and again. Thats the way to treat leg spinners!!
