That kid is actually very cute. And the animation is great... Look at the crap our kids have now ("Fairly Oddparents") and compare it to this. This, despite any relatively offensive material, is superior. Talent was required for this. Not anymore. Computers do it all, now. So sad...
Racial insensitivity was the norm back then. I do wish they'd continue the original Looney Toons, because the new ones are crap. If you get Boomerang, you can watch the originals during the day.
Beautifully scored and animated ... though I'm sure someone watching this is offended by the depiction of hunter-gathering peoples by artists from an agricultural nation.
No, he didn't, Carl Stalling wrote the score. Stalling wrote the music for all 1936-1950 WB cartoons and some of the 1950-1958 cartoons, with the last cartoon he wrote the music for, "To Itch His Own" relased on June 28,1958.
@ParamountCartoons vmpickle123 is correct. Carl Stalling may have written the score, but a very large portion of this music is based on the Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn. And I must say, it was an excellent choice on Stalling's part to choose the Mendelssohn for this cartoon.
Slight corrections I'd like to bring up here: The entire first half has indeed the Hebrides Overture A.K.A. Fingal's Cave op.26 by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in it, but rearranged by Warner musical director Carl Stalling.
I just don't see what is wrong with this, the drawing and music is fantastic.

This was the first of five cartoons starring Inki, it was first appeared on TV, but it will never appeared on TV again due to black stereotypes.
