@turner2123 I think you need to check your facts, the following is a breakdown of troops during the French Indochina war- French Union: 190,000, Local Auxiliary: 55,000, State of Vietnam: 150,000 for a total of Total: ~400,000 troops engaged against the Viet Minh. There were approximately 500,000 US ground troops in 1968. While there were more ground troops during the us war, there were also 170,000 Chinese advisers helping North Vietnam. 50 times more troops is a gross exaggeration.

I'm Japanese...we trained the Vietnamese after being forced by the Americans to leave Vietnam. We knew the Viets were going to fight the Americans and French next...so we give them all of our supplies and weapons (at least my Grandpa told me so).
