I like how you're all, "hey look it up it's a fact", but your generally ignorant to the specifics of it yourself. You're just being a "hater" you're hating on James Bond, and indirectly Tom Jones through you're blah blahey boo hooey facts aboot ..007 being Canadien.I have an appreciation for many things canadien, I love kraft dinner... But there's no way Bond would have been cooler as a Canuck on the Big Screen.... So buck up big boy, books change when hollywood gets ahold of 'em...
^Raises eyebrow^ He's still a Commonwealth character. And I'm tempted to question your commentary, considering Fleming was a Naval officer himself before he became an author
For those of you who like to know these thingsthis was filmed at Castell Coch (Red Castle) a Victorian folly about 7 miles north of Cardiff.
Castell Coch was built by the architect Burgess as a weekend 'fun place' for the Marquis of Bute who owned and developed most of what is now modern Cardiff.
It was rumoured that there was a tunnel linking it to Cardiff Castle but this is legend rather than fact.
The place is often used asa film or TV set to this day.
I may have to agree with that as far as an "in picture" song. Louis Armstrong sang his heart out in what turned out to be one of his last recordings. But I was talking about Bond "theme songs." BTW, If Connery had been in OHMSS it would have been the best movie by far. My Favorite Bond film is "Diamonds are Forever."
Love OHMSS and would picture SPIDERMAN every time I hear it! Cary Grant is my first choice for Bond just watch NOTORIOUS! To all the other actors who played Bond after Connery each one had at least one great film (Lazenby) O.H.M.S.S.
(Moore) FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (Dalton) LICENSE TO KILL (Brosnan) GOLDENEYE and of course Craig
by the way the prince of wales is at a legendary fairytale welsh castle in this video, CASTELL COCH - check it out on google search stunning place near Cardiff/ s wales
wales has more castles per square mile than any country in the world
full of quirky strange places and muths, the prisoner series was shot in portmeirion a surreal home for great abandoned buildings, the outdoor welsh museum of life (biggest and oldest in world) etc
'Moonraker' is the greatest Bond film, sorry. The Bond films have two distinct modes. The Connery era tends to take itself a bit too seriously but has the most presence and style, where the Moore era was like a good parody of the Connery era, and the Dalton era was like a coma.
I accept you apology and I think you will be hard press to find anyone who would agree with your pick as best Bond film. However, everyone has their favourites and you of course are welcomed to yours. I think what you said about Dalton is too funny and very true. Unfortunately after seeing the last Bond film I think the Dalton Bond might be posed for a come back.
Wings theme pretty great also, but my partiality to Sean Connery is showing!...you win this round Blofeld, I mean, Niitroshark!!!really, all these themes are so cool. I was a wee grade-schooler then and my Mom and Aunt took me to this movie (my first Bond) so it tends to stick in my mind...GnR version... fahgettaboutit!!!...but I luv Lulu (Man w/the Golden Gun) also!...
Practically all the songs on TV variety shows back then were pre-recorded especially for the show, then lip-synced. It was much easier & cheaper to record it once in a studio, than risk messing up in front of a live audience.
If anyone has it to upload, I'd love to see his music video with The Stereophonics again. The one that takes place at a party, not the one in a warehouse which is already here.
Thats bull shiti wanna hear it

The Character is based off a Canadian Intel Officer

best James Bond is Sean Connery and Pierce Brosman and as song is Czech Karel Gott

Daniel Craig was and is the best Bond. And Thunderball was the best Bond song.
sharona666 3 years ago
Point #1, Connery was by far the best, but Craig is absolutely above all others i.e. Moore, Lazenby, Brosnin, Daton, which is not at all bad.
Point #2 Thunderball IS the best Bond song followed by OHMSS title song.
racer500gp 3 years ago
Point #3 - nope its "We have all the time in the world", subjectivley!
