  • was that a mid sagital cut he was holding at the end of this vid, the green thing

  • Its great that this exists but at the same time Jim sounds absolutely knackered which is a bummer.

  • Love the Paris pics :) :) :)

  • haunting quintessential doors song

  • @MARMARR1

wow your story is just like mine and what's more of a coincidence is that my name is Marianna

    O_O

  • i believe jim is telling the truth

  • @walitung Say hi to Justin Beiber idiot. Clearly you know nothing.

  • J+I+M=G+O+D

  • FUCK YES IT GOT RECORDED FUCK......YEAH!!

  • Love it!

  • None of the Doors liked Pam. She was a crazy junkie but Jim stayed with her nonetheless. Using whores is an expensive remedy. Rescuing whores is a costly endeavor. Marriage is a risky contract to be bound by. A wicked woman waits for all to help accelerate our inevitable fall. Welcome to our metropolis, to lust bold enough to infiltrate daylight. There must be towns or villages somewhere anchored by familiarity and the humble triumph of peace. -Andrew

  • @dualityofman999 Your a very interesting poet; i believe w my warn-out soul that Morrison would be much impressed by your wisdom and your words...Your line: " There must be town or villages somewhere anchored by familiarity" would have fit nicely in PEOPLE ARE STRANGE, THE SONG......keep up the faith, my friend...

  • @dualityofman999 I love you man...you're poem & insight is nothing short of brilliance!

  • this is utterly, utterly brilliant. I once read ray say his only regret was not getting to play LA Woman live; confusing, as this is definitley them. Awesome to hear something i did not belive existed

  • @bigmickno9 I believe Ray was saying he regretted not being able to play songs from the whole LA Woman Album live.

  • @bigmickno9 It is nice to hear this song live. L.A. Woman and Morrison Hotel are exceptional albums, I'm glad they went out on a high note.

  • 3:11 the best part M.R MOJO RISIN

  • To listen to this is to listen to someone who knows he will soon die. Very depressing.

  • jim was born a hundred years too late!!!

  • @wraygett moi aussi

  • I was a bartender that closed the show every night with the band,in atlanta.ga.I would mix roadhouse blues and L.A. women together. I dreamed that i would hear this in heaven,is there more from LA women like The Changling!! myfav of all time!!

  • How close to the stage was this recorded at ?

    Rays the man..........

  • aah looking for a man that would give me some experience.

  • He sounded so... sad, completely down with everything that was going on with The Doors and his life. Wow.. this is classic, thankyou SO MUCH!

  • Look at these both, how equal they are looking, look at the face, I mean everything, eyes, nose, lips, they are the same, Pam and Jim. they were born for each other.. Poet and his muse...

  • @Rene09091971 coodependent relationship that did not bring happiness. Maybe happiness was not in the cards for Jim but if the drugs and booze problem was addressed maybe things would have been different. This singing sounds like Billie Holiday in a way.

  • The next concert was in New Orleans. That's when Jim "died" for the first time on stage. Ray Manzerek said you could see all his psychic energy or mojo leave Jim's body. By the sound of this terrible vocal performance, one can tell.

  • Will always miss Jims great talent and Pam who stood by her man...May they both R.I.P......

  • When he sings Mojo Risin like that...do you think he knows he is going to die?

  • @metyuewb he sounds like he wouldnt even know what his name was on that one :d

thats a pitty, realy, i like alcohol but unfortunaetly it took the greatest artist to live away from us :(

  • @50pawelcent alcohol is not a person.

  • @metyuewb damn, we`ve got a genious here

  • jim is the best... jim is the king... jim is JIM...

  • Will Ferrell is Jim

  • @DaLeving yes

  • 99 is going to inflick death on certain right now

  • He sounds Soooooooooo stoned

  • This was recorded at the State Fair of Texas in 1971. This was The Doors last show. This show can be found on piratebay. Wish that this show is on a soundboard tape some where. That would be cool to own in better quality.

  • Nice. Late pictures from paris.

  • hella bass can barely hear the vocals lol.. talk about a raw feel

  • Sounds like Will Farrell.

  • @joberstadt why would you disrespect jim like that

  • I like this version

  • he looks soo old and torn up in these photos to bad...

  • @Sicilianboi1990 We looking at the same pictures? o.O

He looks pretty beautiful to me. Can someone please show me a photo where Jim Morrison looks "old and torn up"? Because I would be interested in seeing that...

  • @Sicilianboi1990 he looks gorgeous...

  • Wow..what a trip. Pam also died at 27. That's too freaky.

  • @jaxgal618 There have been a lot of weird deaths at 27.. It's really strange, isn't it?

  • @EverLee86 Yep... ever hear of the 27 Club ?? Google it.

  • @jaxgal618 Yeah, it is some crazy shit.

  • I'm pretty sure he died before he knew how this song took off on the radio...and became one of their top hits.

  • i thought they never performed any songs from la women live whats this off of

  • la woman is probably the best doors album...."ahem"...best album ever kicks the arse of any band beatles or otherwise..tell me im wrong

  • Jim's starting to sound like Robert Johnson by this point!

    AWESOME : )

  • LA woman was his goodbye song to the city he loved so much.

  • MR.MOJO RISIN jim morrison

  • This is a rough performance, but that doesn't mean that it's not good. Morrison's vocals beginning at 2:25 are gut-wrenching, as though he really feels the message of what he's singing (in fact, he's probably singing about himself).

  • wow,,this is rare,,,,its so sad it wasnt filmed

  • i dont know the ins or outs, but when ya say bout mojo they think its shit outta the headshop....... its sad

  • You didn't even have to look at Morrison to tell he was squandering his life at this point. He sounded terrible. Some of those pictures are just terrible to look at when comparing that Jim to the >1969 Jim

  • @noobpowner901 i dont think he was squandering, i feel the pictures were beatiful in how they portray the message of the lyric, and the transformation he went through from being a rock star to a modern day renaissance man

  • it's a shame that more of these LA Woman shows weren't performed/recorded...this is basically the only document of the Doors, besides the PBS broadcast, that has a set list that deviated from the very early days...

  • Great photos here! Where the hell did you get them all?

  • ha this band was so screwed up at this point. so terrible

  • @chrisschin2 yah- but i this makes me wanna go around screaming in peoples faces MR MOJO RISIN

  • No, I live in Belgium and I'm havin a wafel !

  • It's too bad, Jim would have had a lot of fun with the "LA Woman" material, if he could have gotten off the drugs/booze.

  • Well he could get any girl he want.

He could get anything he needed.

He can get drunk/high any time.

He knew he was not God, but the drugs was something that he thought helped him.

But it made him sad and sadder.

He grew this disgusting beard, didn't showered for months.

He just wanted to be back normal.

He didn't realize how import he was for music.

He didn't thought The Doors was a band to be remembered.

No one hated him. He loved it to get in trouble because it showed him he's normal.

  • Ya got it all figured out huh

  • NO!

I just writing what I think... Not figured it out...

  • los exesos se llevaron a un genio

  • Jim Morrison is not dead

  • Yes, he lives in Germany

  • @steurun how do you know this and where can i find proof?

  • @BstinkiN that was only a joke...

  • @steurun ha ha ha okkkkkk.....ya got me! i thought it was another elvis thing goin on or 2 pac!

  • @trebeug Ah, yeah, He is. 1971.

  • @trebeug amen

  • @trebeug physically he is very much dead... he lives through his music

  • @trebeug

I would love to believe this ..

  • @trebeug were is he then

  • @trebeug

    PROVE IT! :P

  • @trebeug Yes he is, and there is proof........He would not let Pam suffer they way she did after july 1971, he wouldn't have let her kill herself with heroin, he wouldn't have abondoned her if he had the choice. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, well he did in a way, but he wanted to live, to be ALIVE and share it all with her.

  • @trebeug Evidence?

  • definatly the doors ,is this a bad version of the record ,or a brilliant version of what was to come? either way its great!

  • I like the photos just as much as the music.

  • troppo bello, troppo intelligente, troppo sensibile per vivere

  • ohh jim se nota que estabas super pasadazo... un gran talento que se fue por culpa de los excesos... L:A woman!!! igual eres grande jim.

  • oh dear!

  • Gotta love this version... Having to much fun Jimbo? I bet you were.

  • This was during his demise, man if you can't tell that then you're not feeling the soul right, bunch of slaves...

  • deception

  • I really dig this performance. Pleasantly trippy and sublimely unique. The flow is unpredictable and mellow......rock on.

  • awesome! Screw the rest of you! Enough of this bullshite! Any Jim will do! Rock On!

  • por ke murio el rey lagarto¡?¡?¡¡¡¡¡¡¿ the doors fuera mas ke lor rolling stones en el 2009¡¡¡

  • Red diaper doper baby.......Wow the bowling that went on. To each his own.

  • A great recording! I think a song that cannot be found on live is riders on the storm. Though it was performed on stage at least once.

  • i am a big fan of the doors, this is the only live performance the doors ever did of la woman, if u see it anywhere other than dallas it is FAKE

  • @ItsMePapaBurgundy no it is not you silly mug

  • @ItsMePapaBurgundy im pretty sure your wrong

  • Took me two days to get a bootleg of this show but I finally found it! Good post I'm going to enjoy listening to the whole show.

  • two whole days? Wow!

  • america before financial tsunami

  • I was at this show here in dallas. You had to be there to love it like I do. He was fat, bearded, drinking bud in a can. Great show

  • @nohatjavy tenho muita inveja, você viu o mestre ao vivo.

  • @nohatjavy really? what location within the fair grounds?

  • @nohatjavy Was Jim also smoking on stage between numbers? And did he talk to the audience? What do you recall from this?

  • @nohatjavy hell yeah!!!!!

  • @nohatjavy

yeah, drunk singer.... what came easer!

  • @nohatjavy For some reason, That is the Jim that I idolize. When he decided to settle down and be a writer.

  • @nohatjavy i went to his apartment in paris and his grave, hes a legend.

  • @nohatjavy That's so cool yet so sad. I admire you very much. I wish I was there.

  • @nohatjavy tu as de la chance de l avoir vu sur scene!!!moi je suis nee a la mauvaise epoque et dans le mauvais pays!!!!!!

  • @nohatjavy how i envy you

  • jim is jim, he's part of the world, and where he's from as no interest at all.

  • J.M. was of Scottish-Irish descent.

  • J.M. was of Scottish-Irish descent.

  • He was no Irishman, he was a Scot

  • no he was american, to brand anyone where his ancestors are from means most of the western world will orignate from ireland and scotland.

  • Jim is bombed out of his mind and ray robby and john are just trying to find some way to keep rhythm with him.

  • it sounds terrible compared to recorded version jim , ray , robby , and john must of been really drunk or maybe just jim

  • jim i miss youuuuu

  • My god... I love this man.

Im going to paris in 3 weeks, I would really like to visit his grave if i can then :D

Rest in peace jim ! and see you in a few weeks maybe !

  • KBLNW A youth of the 60's-lots of death in the 60's-Vietnam-assassinations-rock-stars-overdosing.The Doors were unique-talent.Creative-some with classical backgrounds-worked well together with a charismatic-good-looking Irishman alcoholic as front man who knew how to work a crowd into chaotic mayhem with raw sexual performance oozing from his every pore.He knew this & he loved doing it.He was no musician-an intelligent poet.He was out-of-control.Appealed to a 60's crowd of youth!

  • No Irishman, he was of Scottish descent

  • I'm sure Jim would've wanted it exactly this way. He did, after all, express his views in song and poetry via public forums, duh.

  • Haven't heard this live version for nearly 15 yrs, VERY Cool. Great photos as well, many I've never seen. Great Job & many thanks!

  • JimMorrison alcoholic died in Paris from heroin.Tragic life of a poet.If only he could have cleaned up his life.

  • Yeah..lets just overlook the impact he had on music.. Lets just forget all the good aspects of his life.. Just focus on the negative.. I Bet you REALLY like Oliver Stone's film...

  • When I hear Jim I think epic, like MoPy Dick.

    JIm was a sullen, disaffected, proto-emo 24-hour mope-a-thon with a two-note vocal range.

  • And your opinion is important to anyone WHY!? For those that DO like the Doors.. whatever you say isn't going to change that.

  • See above, I was told to: "Enjoy it!"

This is the Internet. Comments are enabled. I can do and say what I feel here, you mopey Commie.

Whats unimportant to anyone, living or ded, is your defending Jim Morrison

  • Hammered for sure here.

the last few years of his life the bottle took his life.

  • what with all the shit jim was dealing with at this time its no wonder jim choose alchohol he was takin shit from all sides what with miami hangin over his head ..his girl being a junkie and the whole fame thing .everyone has their braking point..at least he left a great legacy as long as we have ears there will be the doors..well done jimbo

  • alcoholism isn't pretty ...

  • This recording sounds flat and depressed!

  • Drunk again..

  • he messed up the song pretty badly he was drunk as fuck its happened to me before

  • non morira mai !!!

  • MOJO RISIN

  • l.a.woman uno dei pezzi piu belli dei doors..la loro musica ti da una carica incredibile..jim ..the best

    R.I.P. Jim.......WE LOVE YOU.......

  • "Never saw a lady look so down

    look so, all alone

    look so down

    & all alone"

. . .gives me the chills

    i love this.

he sounds so sad. . .

    R.I.P.

    Jim Morrison forever !

  • He sounds like he's had a few drinks to me.

  • GO COWBOYS !

  • right. . .

  • The doors is the best!!!

  • hey are u deaf .. ıt's jim..

  • This is definitely the Doors, no question about it. Its the audio with placement phase cancellation, an early La Woman jam, the way it was played. It sounds, however, like a rehearsal jam from the studio, however, ''' its early and there is NO CROWD NOISE.

  • First : L.A Woman released in april 1971. BEFORE Morrisons death in Juli 1971.

    Second:

This is on December 11 , 1970 at Dallas State Fair Music Hall. Jim is still alive and performing this song. If you know some doors songs you can hear his voice :-)

The Album L.A. Woman was recorded in December 1970

  • this is the doors mate and yes that is jim so there is point arguing its a fact

  • bull

  • @TheDoorsFanFabi so you're denying that this recording was made posthumously?

  • i like recording's of the doors like this really cool man !

  • dude, Jim Morrison, the best. RIP, and dude its jimi with an i, not jimmy.

  • good song man...

  • Why is this song split in two?

    I'm disapointed....

  • please let jim rest
