Hawkins sure has done a great job with recruiting, no doubt. And, IMHO, although getting out-of-state studs is very important, what is even more important for Colorado to keep staying good is to do very well recruiting in-state players almost every year. Although Colorado doesn't produce as many players as California, Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio, and Florida, Colorado High School Football is somewhat underrated. Who agrees?

Truth be told. Kids coming out of High School want to play for Hawkins. Colorado is an amazing place to live, and now we have a better football program. Sure it took a season to adjust, but think...Boise State with a bigger budget.
Colorado will be the most improved team in the Big 12 and one of the most improved teams in the country in 2007! I am not saying that they will definitley have a winning record or go to a bowl, but it is possible. However, I think it is very possible for Colorado to at least triple their win total of 2 from last season. Don't forget that Colorado came close to winning a few games, too.
I think that Dan Hawkins is going to do a fine job in Boulder, and most of their struggles last season didn't happen because of poor coaching. There was some talent, but the players had to adjust to a totally new coaching system, and the players were all new to Dan, too. In addition, there were so many distractions from the Gary Barnett mess. I think that affected the team, the coaches, and even the fans perhaps.
In 2007 I think those distractions will be gone. It will be Dan's team, and it will be a brand new ballgame! I don't think they will be good enough to beat teams like Texas and Nebraska. However, I think they can win a few Big 12 games and even pull and upset or 2. Anyone agree with me?

We've lost narrow games to very good teams, and beat #3 Oklahoma. You almost lost to BALL STATE! sneaked by Wake, and struggled with Iowa State. Not to mention you got the shit beaten out of you by Missouri. Plus, this is our coaches second year. This is your coaches 4th. 4 years is enough time for good coaches to start winning games easily. That's not evening mentioning Callahan has never beaten a top 15 team.

Truth be told. Kids coming out of High School want to play for Hawkins. Colorado is an amazing place to live, and now we have a better football program. Sure it took a season to adjust, but think...Boise State with a bigger budget.

Colorado will be the most improved team in the Big 12 and one of the most improved teams in the country in 2007! I am not saying that they will definitley have a winning record or go to a bowl, but it is possible. However, I think it is very possible for Colorado to at least triple their win total of 2 from last season. Don't forget that Colorado came close to winning a few games, too.

I think that Dan Hawkins is going to do a fine job in Boulder, and most of their struggles last season didn't happen because of poor coaching. There was some talent, but the players had to adjust to a totally new coaching system, and the players were all new to Dan, too. In addition, there were so many distractions from the Gary Barnett mess. I think that affected the team, the coaches, and even the fans perhaps.

In 2007 I think those distractions will be gone. It will be Dan's team, and it will be a brand new ballgame! I don't think they will be good enough to beat teams like Texas and Nebraska. However, I think they can win a few Big 12 games and even pull and upset or 2. Anyone agree with me?

I've been to dozens of CU games, home and away, and I've seen some inexcusable things done by our fans... the funny thing is I witnessed most of those things in one afternoon at a Nebraska game. yeah funny thing osborne moves his students to the back of the stadium...CU still keeps theirs up front hmm.... nebraska was good, but both teams havent been good lately. i feel both will become huge national powers very soon. as a student at CU i respect nebraska, but in all fairness the best fans in the nation are from penn state.

The "Big Red" is long gone, and it sure as hell won't be back as long as Callahan is coaching there. The cockiness shown by NU and their fans in the 80's and 90's is still shown, and it's funny. Unrest and anxiousness. Even ole' "hide the gun" Tom Osborne is trying to push Cally out. All of Nebraska's averageness linked to one moment. Let's go on in my argument shall we? A steady decline can be seen after 62-37 in Nebraska football. a 7-7 2002 season followed by a good 10-3 season in 2003. The problem with the 2003 season is all of Nebraska's wins came against pretty weak teams and the three losses were signifigant blow outs.(on par with corn teams of the past?)2004 you decided to hire ole' throat slash a pleasent 5-6 season followed.
