  • Sorry about your loss I feel for you I havent had any tarantulas but have rescued reptiles that have died on me

  • Awww I feel for you .. my pink toe died 1 week ago

  • Karma only affects people who have done something bad,, whatd you do jon???????

  • @ssfourvegeta

nothing really. Having a bad week

  • @Jon3800 jon is there a way of knowing if your t is stressed? or do you have a vid on the subject? thanks

  • @johncarney88

it depends on your species..If you have a deep burrowing species and you find it hasn't burrowed in the longest time, something's not right or if you have a dry species like a brachypelma and you're keeping it in too much of a humid environment, that's another possible sign of stress.

  • @Jon3800 well i got it for my son and its been in same position for 2 days now, only had it 3 days its a mexican red rump, just woundering why its not eaten and why its not really moved, the guy i bought it off said its a really good eater and active but not done much yet so was woundering if it was stressed, also is it normal for it to web on the ground, i was told this could mean molting? thanks

  • @johncarney88

John, it's usually best to not feed tarantulas the day you get them, you have let them settle for a couple of days for them to settle in, they're stressed because they're in unfamiliar tank, it usually takes them 3-4 days for them to settle in well. It sounds like your B.vagans is on the probably going to molt soon, if it's webbing like that

  • @Jon3800 OK THANKS M8 onyour next feeding vid could you tell me a bit more about the red rump if u have a bit of spare time in the vid thanks alot jon ..

  • Did u ever find her?

  • @sitarstylereptiles

    never found

  • thanx for the advice. she seems happy enough and feeds very well indeed. ill leave her to make her own mind up. thanx again :)

  • i have a 3 inch guanna pink toe. she molted about 4 weeks ago and as doubled in size. she's feeding perfectly but wont web in the live plants that are in her viv, she will only web on the twigs that lay on the ground. any ideas why would be gladly taken in. thanx ultim8assassin :)

  • @ultim8assassin

It highly depends on the specimen. I have Avics that never web anything and they're happy

  • This has nothing to do with the vid but i just wanted to ask. Do you have any experience with a Paraphysa Parvula, i not long got one and he/she's tiny, like 6cm's long. Do they get much bigger and do they grow fast. If you know that would be apreciated. Cheers dude.

  • @richbebo

Rich, I have one that was sold to me as an Euathlus truculentus, which are virtually the same T. I have an adult female maxed out at 4.5'' (you will be able to see her on feeding video 75). They are very slow growing, but very long lived if female

  • @Jon3800 oh darn, i got this one cause i thought i might actually get to see one moult soon but i guess i gna be waiting ages lol, cheers for the reply so soon.

  • jon did u ever find this T? if so where was it? was it ok?

  • @axelroach

sadly that T was never found. I wish it was okay

  • @Jon3800 awe, sad and scary! It mite still watch you in the night :P

  • thats why ya get a big ass dog so ya cant lose it lol and did you find it ?

  • @kdawg400

they were never found. A dog wouldn't help find one

  • @Jon3800 i think he meant a dog is much bigger and much harder to lose. anyways sorry to hear this bud, i got my rosehair and im listening to u and im not gonna touch it for a week, she is very calm moving her from small cup to enclosure was very easy im excited to hold her she is very cute.

  • How can i enjoy your misfortune :(

  • I'm not sure if it was the camera angle, but pete's body looked a lil strange. Was his abdomen tiny from old age or was it the angle? :0

  • @ixithel

the abdomen shriveled up. He had died about 2-3 hours before I made the video

  • I dont believe in karma its nothing but a bunch of mumbojumbo. I can explain away everything without a karma explanation. Maybe someone dropped something tiny behind the tire or mabye the tirers were just old and popped. Old age kills living things nothing supernatual about that, and like you said you spooked the tarantual, scared Tarantuals are gunna go for the best hiding place they can find. See no karma needed. By the way I love you videos :D

  • well sorry to hear that hope you find the same species at a store

  • @bravojag

Thanks, I replaced one no too long ago. Its about an inch female :)

  • Thank you

  • Hope u find the tarantula It must suck worst since it is a rare species , I do hope u find it

  • @bravojag

    sadly, this was never found.

  • @bravojag

she was never found. I had to replace this species. It's not so rare now.

  • @AdamSavage88

uh-oh . I would probably consider putting something on it to weigh it down.

  • @ 0:47 KITTY!! :D

  • found her yet?

  • @xXMoTioNzGamingXx

    never found.

  • @Jon3800 damn dude, sorry about that. but i like your t's

  • @xXMoTioNzGamingXx

    that's cool. Thanks

  • I seen a P murinus on spiderlings.co.uk

and under the scientific name it said the common name

    orange bitey thing

i swear i laughed so hard but seeing that you call it an OBT then i guess it was the right name lol

  • @BooshgaFilms

Its more of a nickname than a real common name. They got it from the fact that its so aggressive

  • how long do the mature male obt's live jon? i have one that molted out 3 weeks ago. and i have a female in pre molt.

  • @maybe2243

not very long buddy. Once OBT's reach maturity, they have around 6-12 months left in them. That male was around 7 months after maturing... :(

  • tie a string to a roach and send it down ther =p

  • tie a roach to a string and send it down ther =p

  • Have you found her as of now?

  • @Flizzelz

    nope

  • i wuld have moved the bed and opened the air thingy

  • @snakeurass

I tried that i but since C.perezmilesi Ts are super fast she was long gone before I noticed that she did escape. I wouldn't have opened the air vent. Goes all around the house, so that makes it impossible to find her.

  • That sucks man. This song comes to mind though from Van 'The Man' Morrison "Days Like This" where the immortal line states: "My momma told me there'd be days like this".

Post some good news Jon3800 please!!!

  • that suuuuuuuucks : /

  • did you ever find it?

  • @BardAlgol

Nah, its probably dead by now :(

  • what species did u say escaped? i had a hard time hearing it. my a. avic escaped once...found it on the wall after a week. did you find yours yet?

  • Cyriocosmus perezmilesi. I never found it

  • never heard of this one. what is the common name and could you give a quick word about this species? temperment, size, etc.

  • Its called the bolivian dwarf. Its a new world terrestrial dwarf species that gets about 2-3 inches large. These aren't necessarily aggressive but very skittish

  • Are those realy expensive?

  • they're around $50-100

  • SOrry John,,. what a bad week =( I really hope Your T didnt go down that Vent, hope if crawled under the door or hide behind something... Hope you start having better luck, Id be just as angry as you if that happened to me, I almost lost OBT.

  • did you ever find it?

  • no.

  • Oh mannnn. I lost Beast ( my largest OBT) between the bathroom counter and the wall for about two weeks. I was so distraught!!! I hope you find herrrrr!!! (or have found her?) lol throw some crickets into your ventilation system!!! xD

  • sorry u know more than most of us so i cant give good advice about how to find the tarantula. my brother left my ball python lip open and my python got out and i couldnt find him for about 3 weeks. i was so pissed at him cuz she could have been in any hidden spot and i finally found my snake under my bed. i have papers under it and i heard the paper cromple and she was under their and i was so happy. oh and a feeder mouse got loose and those suck cuz they chew everything.

  • its alright bro

  • I also have a question. About my Zebra T, it molted last in Sep. of 2007. People are saying it has one more, but it hasn't even molted yet. She was very small when I got her in 06, and grew very fast! They say females take 7 years to mature. Is it true? I know it's not a male, because if it was, it would've been long gone by now. It goes on long periods of not eating, and short periods of eating alot!! What do you think? Egg sack? Long premolt? What?!!?! I'll post an update soon.

  • As adults, A.seemanni molt but not very frequently. Being an Aphonopelma species, it is a relatively very slow growing species, but A.seemanni goes slightly faster. I would assume between 5-7 years.

Could be a lot of things bro , either it is full or simply not hungry (Ts don't need to eat a lot to become full), may not like its conditions its kept. Premolt could be possible unless its has the black bald spot.

  • Alright, Thanks for the info. I switched out the dirt, because of a mite investation. I guess it may just be in a long interphase. Maybe one more molt. Either way, it's definately not a male, which I am happy about. I thought (I read somewher) that if infertile, the female will still lay eggs, but then eat them. I have no idea if that's true. Now since it's cooler weather, I use a low wattage heat lamp to keep the temp above 70. It is usually 60 without it, but I don't think she cares.

  • And I know it's probably not even close to another molt, because (Mine is actually pretty agressive) There is almost no hair on the top of her abdomen, (because of how many times I changed her soil, or tryed to feed her in the past couple years, always flicks hairs. I never itch from them though ironically.), and all I can see is her heart. Last time she molted, her abdomen started to change, then 4 weeks later, finally molts. IDK. I'll post an update, and thanks for everything!

  • I don't think its an eggsac unless you mated them, which is one of the most difficult Ts to breed (due to nervousness of the male) next to C.crawshayi. If it is an eggsac, they wouldn't be eating at all, and hiding until she produces the sac

  • They say, when you look for a spider, it may be in the spot you already looked. Did you find it at all yet? Maybe it went right under your bed, like on the frame. That vent would be another great place to look. It probably is still alive!!! It's only been about a month and a half!! So far, my Rose haired (red phase) is on a 6 month long fast. .

  • if its in the vent, its long gone by now, it connects through the whole entire house

  • I do get those types of feelings of a raincloud once in a while. One of my most-used sayings happens to be "When it rains, it pours." That's how one of my cambridgei escaped! I was misting but instead of going down the bed it went into a crack. It's been over 2 weeks so I doubt I'll ever find it now..

  • also i have had a headache all day and just now when i looked at my t's i saw on dead

  • man jon september is a bad month for you and tarantulaguy and i just lost one of my a.avicularia

  • omg i wud be terrified to have something tht can bite loose in the same room as me espcially when i sleep

  • (((hugs)))

  • sucks man :(

  • sorry that you had a bad week, hopefully you will find your baby ;(

Paris Lo in las vegas ;)

  • thanks

  • Sorry to hear of all this bad news, I really hope your luck changes soon mate. Good luck finding the escapee.

  • by the way my rosea jus molted do i really have to wait 2 weeks to feed her my other 2 are small like 3 inchs i only waited 1 week but my rosea they told me 2 because she is adult size should i wait?

  • a week is more than enough

  • sorry for your lost...check inside the bed its probably there if its not at least its inside the room, lol i lost my pinktoe and found it in my moms head.

  • ya, I checked there, nothing. Im assuming its in the vent system :(

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaah... in the vent system????

  • its very possible. I know that when Ts get lost, they don't stray too far. Last year my adult female H.maculata escaped while I was asleep. Crafty one was found 2 hours after I woke up hiding in my subwoofers. I tried looking every nook and hiding place in the bedroom, and nothing has turned up, so that's a possibility. She's over an inch, so again makes it hard to find

  • in the woofers i dont want to think what happend if you turnd youre stereo on *looks scary*

i'm not saying its not possible its more the idea what wil happen to the spider when its in there......

  • lol, I freaked out how it got there.

Its probably somewhere around the house now :(

  • i hope you find your tarantula she could have gone to far.......

  • Im looking almost every night. Last time I've seen her was in the bedroom, no luck so far

  • did u find your lost t yet?

  • nope

  • she's either dead or she went and hid realy hard!

  • its possible, I just bought some replacements

  • That does bite but you better hope the escaped Tarantula don"t well good luck hope things get better.

  • wow, im sry bro...

  • that sucks really bad. i hate bad weeks man. especially in school. i f*** up everything.

  • wow Jon I'm sorry to hear of your loss! Things will shape up they always do!

  • good luck!

  • Thats some shit luck bud, sorry to hear that.

  • I've lost 2 Tarantulas and 2 Scorpions that I've found all at night when they were walking around, takes some time, good luck.

  • Ouch man, that really sucks, be optimistic bud.

  • RIP Pete.

What an awful week :( Hopefully, as your room is nice and warm for the t's, she won't stray too far and will soon be back. Chris :)

  • i hope she dose not find the dog

  • the night is darkest before the dawn, jon. And I'm pretty sure things can't get shiitier than they are now. why this morning, i stubbed my big toe, and it already had a hangnail!

  • That sucks, what is going on with you. I see it as bad things happen before something really good does. But have you looked under ur mattress. Cause don't you think it would have been to cld for her to go in the vent.? She could of went in a small part of ur bed. hope i could of help, again sorry and hope you find her.

  • ive tried the first time, she'll pop up

  • i hope not in ur bed when your sleepin, lol u don't want to smash her. poor thing.

  • that sucks man. dont worry, youll find it. you are experienced enough to know where to look and im sure it will turn up. how big was it? if it was mature, i doubt it couldve gotten down into the vent.

  • 1.5 inch

  • oh..well, im sure youll find it. the vent openings are still pretty small even for that...i doubt my B. albiceps could fit through one at least. best of luck to you and your Ts

  • thats true. Thanks, I will get a replacement if it doesn't show up

  • good luck findin your T, it took me eight days to find one of my H. Mac's so don't give up buddy

  • thanks a lot :)

  • you will get thru it trust me

Then a fucking P. regalis got knocked over cause my retarded friend knocked the cgae over! Now another jewel has been killed! This is at my aunties house so not my fault! Hope you find your spider soon man... If i was you and had a heater i would look in one of the cracks... Better luck next time... Sorry bout your lost :(

    no trying 2 be rude

  • I already have a dog, and some Ts can live twice as long as dogs

  • Youre Talking 20 or 30 YEARS?! O_O

  • yup, brachypelma females can live 30 years,

I have 2 adult females that are 16

  • Dang. Vids yet?

  • good luck hope u find it

  • Those bad winds will change, dont wurry.

  • your escaped T brings up a funny story, Ive got a buddy that owns a OBT, it escaped a few monthes back and we recently found it behind the sink in the bathroom in side a little crack but he doesnt have the money to get the sink removed so now he just drops a cricket onto the web and she runs out lol. I have seen it out n about sometimes but the moment you switch the light on she runs back into her burrow...seems to be comfortable there.
