Al-Qaeda is shooting at us from over the Pakistan border, and since their government isn't doing jack, we are. The thing to remember, whether you agree or disagree with us bombing there, is Pakistan has nukes. Whatever we do, we don't want that government collapsing. After WWI, the Treaty of Versailles stripped them of basically everything, even dignity, setting the stage for a pissed off comeback in WWII. After that we rebuilt Germany and now it's a peaceful and prosperous nation.
