In this case, Asashoryu (in my opinion, one of the greatest Yokuzuna ever) was "forced out" by the Japan Sumo Association for bad conduct. He broke the associations rules many times. He was a bad boy. But, a very great wrestler. His matches are some of the best to watch. Great strength and superb technique.

they ARE big and muscular, but they also build up a layer of fat that both makes the heavier and makes it harder for their opponent to "bear hug" them or grab their belt to use as leverage.
