  • Great Video...I'd love to see up updated to HD format :)

  • is there any drop in oil pressure when you use this system

  • I just added a Bypass system in my 1980 Mustang. I dont know anything about the engine(I got it from a salvage yard years ago). Just adding the system and putting few miles on it the car is running smoother, quieter, and getting better fuel economy!

  • if want a bypass filter just buy a fram they got holes in the filter anyway hahahaha

  • can a bypass filter fit in any car?

  • @sk8freak51392 There are two systems, one is a single unit, where you keep the normal full flow filter in the stock location and add the bypass remotely. This works best for tight engine compartments, etc. But if you do have the room, the dual system will remote mount both. I have the dual on my Mustang in front of the radiator. These are the Universal units. There are a few available for specific diesel trucks applications, like the Powerstroke, Cummins, and Duramax.

  • bmw uses the same concept on their newer cars. change oil once a year.I believe mercedes benz too.

  • mcarino98 - Both BMW and Porsche have been using 15,000 mile or one year drain intervals for many years, when using a better performing synthetic oil. AMSOIL can go up to 35,000 miles without needing to be changed, so more than double that 15,000 mile interval. AMSOIL is great stuff! :)

  • @mcarino98 It's not just the length of drain intervals, it's the quality of the product, absolutely amazing. Not to mention the fact that if it weren't for AMSOIL we'd still be stuck using conventional oil. When they were the first producer of a API and SAE approved synthetic oil in the 70's, Mobil thought the idea was ridiculous. Now a majority of Mobil sales are in synthetic oils. AMSOIL is a true leader in oil technology.

  • Amsoil is the best.love the once a year oil changes. I use it my car's and motorcycle, with Amsoil filters.Amsoil was a green company back when it was not in fashion.Once a year oil changes saves alot of crude.

  • I'm amazed the American gov't hasn't banned Amsoil or rid of them. It seems that, especially in the 50's and 60's the gov't was busy getting rid of innovation.

    Hint: tucker.

  • The bypass filter works really well. After a year and 24,600 miles, my oil is still clear-amber.

  • wow, how much does it cost?

  • Well, it costs about $225, BUT it basically eliminates oil changes and it can be transferred from one vehicle to another. You will still have to change the Amsoil full flow once a year and the bypass filter every two years, but it will save you money in the long run.

  • There are a couple different systems available, depending on the vehicle. This is an older video I have and posted, there isn't a new one. The system shown is probably 10 years old. It's since been updated at least twice. The filters have also been updated and work even better. I have the previous model on my Mustang, never any problems, oil analysis always shows that the oil is good for continued use, even after 30,000! The bypass filter also helps remove soot, something a full flow can't.

  • I am thinking of buying a system. Is the bypass system is it run all the time or do you cycle it on every so many miles? How often do you change the bypass filter? How often do you replace the oil and the regulator oil filter? Thanks!!

  • @rg1565 Sorry I'm just seeing this now. Guess I need to check my comments here more often. Normally I get an email, but missed most of the conversation here. It runs all the time, just hook it up and let it do it's job. The regular full flow filter gets changed once a year, the bypass every two. The oil you change, but if you use oil analysis and it comes back good for continued use, you don't need to. Just change the filter and add the oil lost, which also boosts the additives up again.

  • Just a figure of speach. Dave is irreplaceable and deserves the same respect given to the founder. He's quite proud of Amsoil's accomplishments which would not be of the same caliber if not for his contributions.

  • Dave really is a super guy. Lots of knowledge and experience.

  • Hey! That is Dave Anderson. the legend at Amsoil and is still running things. People think Al Amatuzio was the wizzard (He is) but Dave is really the secrete behind all the quality and improvements through the years. Personally I think he's worth 100 times what he is paid but Amsoil is the best as the employees care about the product rather than just trying to make a buck.

  • WOW that oil was cleaned QUICK
