  • Well the video starts looking down the well bore and then switches to side view of the rock ( limestone) the footage or depth is posted in the center in feet. this well had a small amount oil oil coming in and that is why we ran the video to see where it was coming in at.

  • I would LOVE to actually understand what im looking at. Direction (up or down), size of that seepage, and so forth. :)

  • Smells like money!

  • nice video...lucky

  • Nice video.

  • How did the perf's end up doing for you?

  • Thanks, that was interesting to watch.

  • Very cool.

  • FINALLY!!! I've found it! I've always wanted to see a video of this...no joke! Now i can die in peace...ok that one IS A JOKE, but man, i've always wanted to see this. THANK YOU!!!

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~ Best wishes

  • what kind of camera system is that?

  • We hired a company out of Michigan to tape it. They have a very nice set up, all self contained in a trailer.

  • u fracture shale or hard rock. if u drill into a sand formation u just acidize it. least i think so. more horiztonals here are fracced and vertical conglamrate wells are acidized

  • We frac limestone. I have a video of a well bore after a shot/frac, I will try to put part of it on soon.

  • we drilled an oil well on accident that started flowing at an initial rate of 2000 barrels a day, and still produces naturally about 25-50 barrels a day a year later. great well. Pumpjack probably not far off

  • By accident? Wow 2000 barrels a day is a great well!

  • @tyoung317 Yep, drilled for natural gas when we hit a fractured oil zone in the devonian shale, she came in with a roar and we almost burned the rig up

  • How do you accidentally drill an oil well? Was the planned target a gas formation that didn't pan out, or did you get extremely lucky on a deep water well? How deep is this well?

  • @epistte Drilled for gas in the devonian shale when we hit a fractured oil zone, really scared us pretty bad and almost lost the rig, no injuries though

  • @OneExoticBoy

What do you mean you drilled an oil well on accident ? don't you need an approval for drilling from state oil and gas supervisor ?

man ! things are different here in california

  • @Davidhelms7 we were drilling for natural gas, we have to go through the WV DEP to get our permits. We hit a fractured oil zone unexpectedly, we've produced tens of thousands of barrels thus far since 07 out of this one well

  • @OneExoticBoy How do you drill an oil well on accident? Is your last name Clampett?

  • @OneExoticBoy Knock-Knock "Seven sisters" here, is that well yours??? :-D

  • We shot the well with 40 qts of nitro methane. It increased the amount coming in x 3 times. We will just put the well on pump and see how it acts over some time. We use a small company out of Michigan to video it. There is another one in KY that we may try next time. We are waiting due to getting a coil tubing in to try a horizontal bore on a offset well and see what happens.

  • looks good

  • looks good

  • Have not had the oil checked yet, but would guess it is going to run about 38-40+ gravity. It is more of a paraffin base oil.
