Ive heard great things about kimbers, but never used one. would you guys recommend theirs? my favorite handgun is still the beretta M951. used it for the first time on a military tourism trip in israel. and its been my favorite ever since then. and by the way, we shot a LOT of guns on that trip, and the beretta was still my favorite. if you guys want to check out the trip, lionops.com
@TraviBurke I've had a few kimbers and never had any issues with them. I like this one a lot. I've heard some folks think they are junk, but again, I've never had an issue. Based on my experience, I'd have no trouble recommending one.
The staple shot wasnt luck bro - you aimed at it and hit it. Good stuff. And dropping the damn slide isnt going to do shit to it in the long run. I know of no weapon thats ever failed or been severely damaged because of repeatedly doing that.
I own a kimber tactical HD II and it's good. For what you pay for the pistol and what u get i would not say it's a great value. I think you can get a higher value 1911 from many places. I don't like the fact that they come with one mag. Not a fan of the SS they use for the barrels either. Don't confuse Value with Quality. It's a quality piece but I think it's over priced. Way too many 1911 manufacturers out there that make good 1911's at a cheaper price. IMO
you only pay .25c for a .45 round, geez thats cheap!, we pay around the $1-$2 a round in .45, if you can find it and if you have a very hard to get Lic. for sports range shooting otherwise your limited to max of .357 in pistol. Damn nice pistol thou bro best wishes and take care
Just a word of advice, you dropped the slide on an empty chamber when you were showing off the pistol in the beginning of the video and over time that will ruin your sear/hammer engagement resulting in hammer follow aka slamfire. On a 1911, I would avoid doing that repeatedly. Otherwise enjoy your 1911.
i paid right at $700 for mine from a guy at a local gun show in my area. i shot it ass is and enjoyed it. i recently decided to ditch the hard to use iron sites and switched to the trijicon day/night sites. they are alot better than the iron sites when shooting. i replaced the main spring housing with a meat one with chain link design cut in back. this mainspring housing also came with the mag well. it is dovetailed and has a set screw for added safety. i recently ordered a custom set of grips.
@HollowmanXXX18 I'm honestly not sure what they're going for now. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the MSRP these days, the way everything has gone up in price!
@HollowmanXXX18 depending on what kimber it is, my brothers kimber TLE was worth 2,500 out the box, but let me tell you its a reeeaaally good gun and worth it.
capitainberz has the #1 Glock 19 cleaning video. That was one of my hidden motives of my video. Have people search and see if they have a top rated review or something =)

I agree with your assessment of the KCII, I will also agree that the pistol does shoot better than I do and the KCII makes me look real good with the grouping. I'm a BIG fan of the Browning/FN Hi Power pistol in 9mm & 40cal and own quite a few. However I shoot the 1911 45 style pistols I own much better. I have a Para PXT Limited in 40 cal and this one is the most acurate 40cal I own, right now. But my first love is the KCII 45.
@spikey614 Thanks, I really like this one. I'm glad I got a good deal on it. I'm having issues with the sights, but that might just be my eyes. Take care.
i love my kimber, classic stainless target. but i couldnt get a grouping like that from 25 yards .....not yet atleast
but i just started seriously hitting the range aweek ago, practicing with my 22/45 typicaly shooting a 550 bulk box each visit, i plan on going 4-5 times aweek.
i wanna shoot competitivly soon, cant wait. i just need more practice.
but damn thats a realy impressive group from 25yards.
a very high quality sidearm, even now america still makes the best guitars and guns in the world. check out hiddenheatholsters for american made holsters, they are the best holster i have ever used for concealed carry and they have a size to conceal just about any size handgun.
Yes Sir ! Nice Weapon, I Had One as well and sold it. Kicking My Donky side ever since. As You Stated, Rule #1 Never Sell Your Guns ! Good News ! Have one on Layaway. :) Have Fun With Your New Baby! GUN PEOPLE ARE GOOD PEOPLE!!
I picked up this exact pistol about a year ago. Mine is also very accurate and impacts dead center on my 50yd steel. Been 100% reliable too. 1-2K rounds so far.
To correct and earlier poster who said allowing the slide to close on empty chamber damages the extractor, which would be the case if dropping on an already chambered round, its actually because it has an adverse effect on the pistol's hammer and sear geometry, as well as causes battering between the frame, slide stop, and barrel feet.
This may be a stupid question.. But was that a light under the barrel.. Or was that your camera? If so how much was that? I'm looking to get the same set up! I'm excited
That's the slightly cheaper version of the one I have, which is the TLE 2. This one I have no idea on the history, which has some wear and an idiot-scratch around the trigger. It is basically the exact gun as yours except mine has the 30 lpi checkering and night sights. Thats it. 600 bucks, works great! :D
I like using the mag-light technique anyway, but I think laser-grisp would go good with both your and my Kimber.
@Lehi145 It is the series II or "schwartz" safety. It is essentially a colt series 80 safety. It works in conjunction with the grip safety by locking the firing pin when the grip safety is not actuated. I have not had any problems with mine, but I have heard if it breaks, it can be a real bear to deal with. It is the little sawtooth looking thing that comes out of the frame; you can avoid breaking it by not depressing the grip safety when joining the slide and frame together during reassembly.
@Lehi145 It's a firing pin safety system that is tied into the grip safety. It's extra parts over the original 1911 design and some say it's just something else that breaks. It's not needed, but many makers use it these days as a drop safety. Some say it affects the trigger pull, especially if you don't have a solid grip on the grip safety.
@topper454 No way! I really do like this gun. I might put adjustable sights on it, but that’s about it. But you’re right, Springfield makes great products.

Kimber is not a fancy 1911 and definitely NOT a top quality firearm like this clown in the video said
Its a piece of crap filled with MIM parts
Kimber couldnt perfect the 1911 in its original design so they made it the way they wanted to, end result they made a POS

Wait, don't answer. You've revealed enough delusion with your slam on a brand that's favored by a lot of Pros whose lives depend on their sidearms.
I suspect a hidden agenda is behind your rant.
Don't heed this Butthead's words folks.
Kimbers RAWK !
The only things that the Classic II needs are better sights and a top grade SS magazine, like a Wilson.
Instinctive shooter, close range? Keep the stock sights and get excellent mags.

don't let the slide slam foward on an empty chamber. You can break the extractor that way. 1911's have solid extractors. Read your owners manual.
