  • i have been floating on the current in doniphan, mo. how can i locate this specific place?

  • @hezeld Put in at Akers Ferry and then float about 6-7 miles on the way to the Pulltite take-out. The cave appears on river-left and is very apparent. You can float back into it, as a few canoes can fit in it at one time. The swimmers jump from the ledge on the left as you enter the cave.

  • Been camping at Pulltite since I was a little girl. No place feels more like home than along the river in the Ozarks!!

  • gotta wear some insect repellent going to devil's well. nice video brings back memories.

  • hey i did the 16 mile one on current river...it was a blast..almost had a fish lol!!! might do it agin!!

  • love this place been camping at pulltight since i was born and my parents have been camping there for 30 + years

  • Gonna be there in about four days! I can't wait!!!!!

  • Headed back on Saturday 7/25/09 with a bunch of friends. Akers to Pulltite float. Can't be beat!

  • ha im headin down there the 26th with my scout troop.even though ur already there, im commenting tonight.... maybe see ya there..u'll hear someone screamin for arv haha..

  • That SOB is damn cold!

  • The orifice of the spring in the Cave goes down about 90 feet and then goes horizontal as an underground river. About 1 mile uphill from the Cave is Devils Well, a huge sinkhole that has a staircase you can use to go down into the sinkhole and view the same underground river/lake from above. It's a pretty neat place as well. There is a road to Devil's Well off of KK between Hwy 19 and Akers. Nice picnic area too. There is also a trail from Devil's Well to Cave Spring.

  • did you know devils well is the largest know underground lake in the U.S.

  • Cool! Didn't know that!

  • we go there every year

its so creppy in there lol

i thought it was very deep there guess i was wrong

  • How tough is the canoeing in the part of the river. I'm going on a bachelor part here in August and I'm just wondering if we're all going to sink, haha.

  • It's a very easy float. I like the fact that the water in the river is cool even on the hottest days because it's spring-fed (August is a Hot month in MO). Class I rapids only, but the river moves along nicely so you don;t have to paddle so much. Akers Ferry Canoe Rental rents Tubes as well as Canoes.

  • the water is freezing too, because cave spring is the first place we swim at

  • i have been in there, it sure is fun to fool around in that cave lol

  • I can't wait till our trip this spring
