The Big News trilogy is one of my absolute favorite all-time selections of any band. Clutch's music is hard as nails, and they like to use their brains, as evidenced in their lyrics. Almost mockingly so. Baddest motherfuckers alive. Still.
I remember in French class I would write little quotes from Clutch's songs in the corner of my work. I always loved "Out from the belly of a whale came a profit, Amen" maybe thats why she asked me not to come back to her class.
hell yes!!! back in 1998 when i was introduced to this freakin' balls-to-the-wall band, my friend and i would proclaim (in front of customers): "the guests seem more than pleased". this and jesus on the dashboard left so many cool quotes i'm glad to hear some one else felt was worthy of tossing around!
calling all elephant riders, redneck samurais', and pure white vikings!! its time to draw your whips, swords, and hammers clutch is at the frontline,.. wartime brothers!
I believe there's a storm a brewin.

ahhh good ole 240p ... doesn't quite have the same allure as listening to old records ;v/

Shit quality.. which is frightfully unfortunate.. Doesn't really do the track any justice..
That being said, I commend you for posting this song to youtube..
Neil Fallon needs to start writing crazy arse lyrics again.. the new stuff doesn't suit him in my opinion..

@ItsYourBlood It is pretty bad. But I uploaded the best quality I could on my own channel a while back. Don't think I even noticed this one. :(

This is a pretty chill song, i like it. Incidentally does anyone else get a bit of an evil vibe from this?

never a truer word spoken . I never had the chance to see them, but I saw a live clip of this played slightly faster. SOOOOOO dancy. :ODDDD

I saw them perform Big News I at The Cannery in Nashville on Oct 1. I couldn't believe I was playing the bassline correctly!

The drummer sounds a lot like Bonham, probably a big influence
theDan3391 3 years ago
Bonham was/is a HUGE influence on JP Gaster.
JP is a great drummer too. Very underrated, which is a shame. Clutch rules.
