That is just a snus can with a hole in it, why would you buy that on Ebay? I went and paid the 20 bucks for a titanium triad stove, it is worth every cent
Ah. Wrong fuel. Ethyl and methyl alcohol is very stable when burning because of the low temperature flame and the lift away from the fuel source. Iso P A is similar to kerosene (if I'm not mistaken) and should self propogate the flame to higher levels. I believe the fuel type to be important in this design and making the stuffing contact the under-surface of the fuel can.
nice video i just cant see the point when you can make one for next to nothing. i didnt watch your other vids but this stove doesnt seem to work all that well. i by far prefer the soda can stove with small jets all the way around you get a much more intense flame
I made a couple attempts at a stove tonight... Fosters can was not sealed well is my best guess at what went wrong... I thought a wider can would make a hotter stove...
Hiram is a real sport for bothering to answer any of these objections. Personally I was convinced it was a crappy stove after the first test. Anything under 10 minutes is a good stove. Under 5 and you have got my attention.
maybe they soaked the food in alcohol and cooked it that way? Not sure how they could cook burger that way... MRE's if you stood them up like an A but wouldn't it burn them?

Over 20 minutes is abysmal, I've had better accidents than that. If you havn't actually added water to the fuel, the only thing I can think is that the stuffing must press against the underside of the top surface of the burner. It looked like all of it was away. I'd think probably with a hole down to the base so the cotton gives a greater area of vaporisation and does not char.
If pushing the stuffing away from the burner hole and against the top doesn't result in a significant increase in vaporisation then making an air bleed in the side of the fuel pot will certainly help (as long as free passage of air is not blocked by stuffing) by bringing some of the flame down under the top.
@bebopper stfu ur a d!ck so is rjburg (has a lot of junk in his vids) and last mrbilltroop73 rounds out the top 3 list of opinionated @ssholes.

those claims you listed (from the seller?), litterally have me rollin on the floor. How are you gonna cook hamburger with no pot/pan ?
I don't suppose any of your 'critics' sent you a link to their video ? ... didn't think so.
You do a great job bud and from what I've seen, you've got some of the MOST objective reviews I've seen.
Keep up the good work Sir!

I will be putting it back on my collection shelf along with my version, unless people want me to run a test again on it.

What really worries me is their claims. I mean come on, two MREs, a quarter pound hamburger without any pans. Yikes!

I think my friend bought a "slightly used car" from this guy. It was owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays.

@DrunknShooter
what they failed to mention was that her grandson drove the shit out of it the rest of the week, lol
