Street Entertainment is not free - if you like it, you stop, get entertained, especially if you FILM it - you definitely oughta drop a bill or two. That's how they make a living, because they stand there all day long.

And what is the message that you're trying to convey by telling everyone that your bag was stolen in Covent Garden? London, like any other major city where tourists flock to, is a Mecca for pickpockets and thieves. If I were to go to Italy and my bag was stolen, I could go online and say the same thing, but what would it acheive? What happened to you was a shame, but it was purely incidental. I just hope that this doesn't stop you from going to london again. Good luck

sure, lots of places. I love trafalgar square & soho in general, for going out in the evening. dining or clubbing. and shoreditch is pretty good, brick lane & so on. Camden from time to time and whereever I wanna go :) South Kensington & the high street are nice as well. I hate going to picadilly cirus though.its always packed with tourists, no matter when you go there.
