  • holy shit

  • You learned this after only playing for ONE year? No way! I tried to learn it long ago, but gave up. And now my piano teacher is encouraging me to learn it. It's so hard!

  • @miranda746 Hello Miranda !

yes indeed after 1 year :) ! and well .. just NOT give up haha .. but you know what it is, you have to practice for like 1 hour a day on 1 piece .. then you will get it :) .. I don't know how much you do ? but if it is 10 min a day, that is not really productive ! atleast not for me ... :) .. so yes, if you really want to, you will get it ! I am sure !

    keep faith !

  • @Darkboy2525 Ok, so i practiced that hard section for an hour the other night, and wuz able to play it fast the next day! I have never spent an hour straight on one piece before, it's so cool how that works!

  • very nice piece, very well done, better than iv ever seen it done in person, i like it

  • hello friend Please pass me notes thank's bye

  • @roxis48 just youtube it, i find watching the notes come along in like a guitarhero format even easier than reading sheet music, so you can find that or sheet music on youtube

  • whats with all the dislike? This is a beautiful piece. He/she played very well. They are just jealous of you.

    :)

  • @canary767 aww that is so kind of you (A) thanks a lot, but well I understand those people ! I can agree I also do not agree with my interpretation here now :)

but still I thank you so much for your loveley words ^^ ..

  • i luv listening to all your videos from the alfred books. i'm on the third book as well, and i was wondering if you knew if there's a book that follows it? thanks:)

  • @prettynyguen Ow hello ! :) how nice of you ! ( this one is not that good in my opinion, please, use another examble for this one :) ! )

but I think there is not an real book again that follows for level three, then you should do, classical things from alfred if you wish ? or just start on Mozart sonata's ( a good start would be the facile sonata ) and beside some etudes ! that comes next :) but there are also books called 'the first book of Beethoven/Mozart/Bach ) and those are from alfred

  • @prettynyguen as well :) ! but I think you should start on some harder pieces now ! ;) like I said, etudes ( I do Duvernoy ecole die machanisme ) and Mozart sonata's and Chopin pieces and a Haydn sonata as well now !! that would be a wise step. always keep on the alfred level will not help you improve a lot anymore ! :)

hope you enjoy and please keep playing !

  • I love this beautiful song....!

  • Omg yaaaaay !

    I played this song too!

Well, actually all of the songs you play here!

I'm level 6 , not on adult though, and I guess the songs in the adult course in lvl 3 is the same as my level !

Lucky, you didnt have to take many years to reach this level.

It took my about more than 5 years to get to level 6.

    Lucky, and good job ;D

  • @KinokkoStar haha well it is NOTHING to do with lucky ! haha hard work pays off :) .. but still a LONG way to go !

  • Wonderful! Wow, you are really good and learning fast too. My keyboard has this song which I learned some of it from and it breaks it down in two parts, but it is always hard for me to use both hands. If you know what I mean. I don't know a lot of the music language, but I'm trying to learn some.

  • @ReginaMuse93 thanks for your comment Lisa :) !

it does warm my heart ! but ow god ! what do I see now !? 81 dislikes on this video ? when that happend :O ! seems people don't like me playing this ! ok ok it is not that great but 81 dislikes ! WOW I am quite sad about that :( !

  • @Darkboy2525 That's crazy. Eh, don't worry about it. Just prove them wrong in your next video. You always do! ;)

  • @ReginaMuse93 Thanks a lot Lisa hahaha :)

but strange thing ... like 1 week ago ... the dislikes where onley 1-2 ... and now 81 ? I simpley can't believe that, how did that happend ? because the vieuws is almost still the same :( ! it is weird !!

  • @Darkboy2525 Very strange...curiouser and curiouser. Better whip out the Sherlock Holmes!

  • @Darkboy2525 some people do this on youtube with proxy's to bore other people dont take it that high thats why the vew is still the same cos its still from the same acount just another ip 2 bad people do it like that

  • This makes me so upset... I used to be able to play this piece flawlessly about 7 years ago. Then I stopped playing piano... I went back to pick it up and I can't remember the left hand of the second movement and I can't play the third movement at all because I can't remember it.... I'm trying to find the sheet music on ebay but there are so many different versions!! I'm scared of buying the wrong one...

  • maybe you have been ask many times but did it take you only one year to go through all three books?

  • @NMJC1 oww no not at all :) I think it whas less then 2 years :) and I did not complete the holl book 3 .. I did almost all the last pieces ( the harder onces ) and I Stoped after 'Soldiers joy' my new teacher wanted me to move on harder pieces, for my technique as well ;)

  • @NMJC1

I'm on the Alfred Book 1 Page 51 (Rock A My Soul). I'm wondering how I can start to move my left hand to play chords that are further down the scale. The book doesn't give any instruction. Should I use a blindfold? I don't have a teacher so I'm wondering how I can start to learn to move my left hand further down - if this makes any sense

  • @duckdown1993 Hello Duckdown !

please send me in a privat message exacly what is the problem, together with a examble from 1 song in the alfred books .. don't mind with, so I can see what you mean

thanks, and I will try to help you .. thats why I am here also :)

  • Did you teach yourself the piano using the alfred books or do you take lessons?

  • @aerokiddo I always have had a teacher that teach me :) from the very beginning till now :) .. and I hope I always have a guide who does help me ^^

No I prefer a teacher, for techniques etc ;)

  • @Darkboy2525 I wanted to buy the set of Alfred's adult books to teach myself. Do you think they are good for beginners starting from book one.

  • @aerokiddo Ow I am almost SURE they ARE good ! yes, you should do that, they are very very usefull, and have a good variation in music, so you get to know all kind of music a bit, and it build up bit by bit, so the basic after those books is very good ! you should do that,

and of course, if you have any difficulties, ask me :) I am glad to help you out with things !

  • OMG! I skipped ahead of the book to hear how this lesson would sound. Wow - you played this great! BTW - I'm a 50 yr old lady (feeling real old now). I too am determined to pick up where I left off many years ago. I do enjoy listening to you play. Truly a God-given talent.

  • @Janetlynn3035 ow wouw .. I don't know what to say .. I onley can say, Thanks, it isto easy for such wonderfull words to onley say thanks ! I am sorry for that .. but I am really happy with this comment ! .. really ! thank you a lot !

and hey, you are never to old to learn! so miss :) don't feel old haha ^^ haha about 15 years you ritire ? and then wouw .. you do play longer then 15 years already ! sure you can play some nice pieces then ! and have all time for it to focus on it :D !

  • amazing, one of the best on youtube that i could find, you inspire me haha but seriously, you do !!

  • @MW2domin8r wouw really ? you mean that ? really loveley, I have to admit I am not so happy about this one more but wouw you mak me feel proud again .. I am most happy that I inspire you .. really ! THANKS !

  • @Darkboy2525 Yeh of course, wouldnt have gone through the trouble of posting otherwise haha, keep up the vids :)

  • Very nicely done! I am just now doing Fandango from book 3 but also attempting to do Fur Elise as I have played an easier arranged version of Fur Elise already.

Are you still in alfred's 3 or if not what book didi you go to?

  • @ChimuChipmunk First of all, thanks for your reaction, and time for watching my video !

Well, I have not complete the holll book 3 yet, because I have a new teacher, and he want me to do other things, ( technigue ! ) so I am doing Duvernoy opus 120 now, and at the moment I am bussy with Mozart piano sonata K.545 :) sure you know it, the first movement !

So well, Sir/miss if you need any help, I would love to help you ( I am no master, but I could atleast try to help you :) )

  • @Darkboy2525

Thank you for the offer. BTW I am a 45yr man who wished that he didn't stop taking piano lessons as a teenager and recently started again about a year ago.

  • @ChimuChipmunk Well good for you that you start again ! and I do understand it ... sorry for saying this maby, but I am glad I not have the intention to stop as a teenager .. so well we see when I am 45 years old !

but good you start again ! very nice ±D I would love to hear from you more

  • i learnt this by myself and i ear i have aced it took my a while but the broken chords are repeated and the right hand. i have only done it up t 1:10 ace. i am on level 2 alfreds on la bamba. cant wait to go and improve

  • whoooh, amazing,

you played it exactly as they way the book say?

because i'm doing book 1 now,

but i just can't imagine that i can play that by 3 years!

so you didn't put anything to it?

    GREAT JOB! =)

  • @bryanntje Thank you !

No I did the same version as book 3 said :) ... believe me, with will power you come far ! and not overhaste things ! keep practice in the first book, I promis the book is a most wonderfull basic !!

and friend, let no one tell you you can't :) .. you can if you will . I always keep that in thought, because I am at things to know what I find extramly hard, but with will you can come far ! ..

Enjoy the piano friend, because that is the main point ! :)

  • Well done! You play very nice. I enjoyed that very much.

I'm working on this piece and your video will help.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Ah, I LOVE that very powerful part in this piece 2:07 - 2:30 :D you play this very good.

  • @SertavisSaviPianist haha the best part in my opinion :D ! ..

I thank you but the sheets said, not moret hat powerfull :P but well I do like this more I have to admit (A) :)

and I see your commant whas onley 1 hour ago ! :O ? I never see you online on that time ;) !

  • @Darkboy2525 Ha, yeah, it was 11:00 at night at the time, I am online that time sometimes, mostly on the weekends though. :)

  • GREAT Job! I'm doing this one with my Teacher now, absoloutley LOVE it. :) You did a really great job. What edition of sheet music did you learn from?

  • @losinggrip1993 Thank you !!!

Well you sure have to ! it is really nice to learn ! :) ..

but if I would do it now ...... I would dot he middle section quiker

but thank you ONCE more :) .. Good luck with it ! :)

I did practice this one out of Alfred series :) ...

  • @Darkboy2525 You're very welcome :). It's definantly one of the best on Youtube! Yeahh, don't worry about that middle section. Speed it up a little but not too much, some people play the bit too fast. Thank you! Is that edition useful?

Just a quich question, in the C section with that repeated A in the bass, what fingering do you use? Is it 1,2,3 and sort of 'bounce' on they key if that makes sense. :D

  • A classical piece of Beethoven, one of my favourite tunes! You played it smoothly but the middle part could be a little bit faster, and with a bit more feeling and emotion. It is only my point of view, everyone plays it differently. Overall, it was a very good performance!

  • @MessyCeccy I agreed with you ! If I would do it over that is the same thing I would add on this piece . the middle section a bit faster indeed !

    very nice messy !

  • Good job!

  • i was sight reading the middle section last night just for the right hand, i learned the right hand but when i looked at the left hand i said to myself FORGET IT! hahahahah. i got lazy. im not as determined as you to learn this! this is GREAT!!

  • GREAT!! i want to play this on the piano to!

But i just started playing piano, but i know a little of the first part :P

  • i can play this song

  • I can finally playing this piece, love it

  • It's quite clear it's one of your favorites :)

Keep playing it when you go along, it only will get better, which doesn't mean it was bad!!

    Well done!

  • AMAZING :D

  • Great job!! The middle section is tough.

  • This is amazing!! I can't wait to learn this song!

  • How nice :)

well Book 3 :) at the end :)

Good luck it's really fun to learn !

  • it sonds great!!

I'll start playing the piano soon and I hope I'll be able to play this song in a year or less, too :D:D

can you tell me how often a week/month you have lessons?

  • Hello !

Well I onley have a half a hour lessons a week, But the most that matter is of course how much you are going to practice he :)

    Good luck !

  • :)

    Okay thank you very much

how long did it take you to learn how to read notes generally?? I'm a bit worried, that it will take me a long time :D

  • I know what you mean !

Buy my note reading isn't that good eather ! It's more I remember what I have to play, the most pieces/songs I practice Can i play without the notes cause I just remember what to play .. so that's why my note reading isn't that good !

But well it's a LOT better than in the beginning I can see that I am improve in that :) SO don't worry about it ! it will come slowly and slowly ;) !

And please remember I just play 15 - 16 months so I am not a master at all haha

  • hehe :) I think many people play like that so it's ok :)

    thanks for answering!!

keep on improving and I wish you good luck

maybe I'll let you know how it is going as soon as I'll start

by the way.. kannst du deutsch? :D

  • vett goed , hoe krijg je het voor mekaar man:|

    Xx

  • Very likeable! ~

  • Wauw! Dat was echt heel goed :D Ik heb ook een begin gemaakt met dit stuk, maar na het intro heb ik 't soort van opgegeven :P. 'k krijg nu wel weer zin om het toch nog eens te proberen. Heel mooi gespeeld :D.

  • heel erg bedankt !

  • hey Dennis

    Heel goed gespeelt!

  • well done!

  • I´ve listened to it twice and I can honestly say I enjoyed it. You are able to play this piece which I think isn´t easy, certainly not all beginners can play it. Are you still a beginner ? I call you a "beginner" only b/c you have been playing for only a year. You can be proud of your achievement, congrats. I hope this is a fair reaction. The world needs musicians, and you are now one of them.

BTW: I couldn´t help watching your hands. You have piano-hands, you know ? You´re made for this !

  • haha wonderfull you saying that ! ^^ THANK YOU SIR ! ^^ proud of read your reaction !

  • Yes, this is even better than the first version. The middle sections sound really smooth and flowing. The whole thing sounds so sweet and sad. Your diligence is paying off big time!

  • Thank you very much ! :)

  • Hey is new one too? Different version. Sounds Good^^.

  • yea it is a new one :) A bit slower and the part form 1:06 has improved a lot ( in my opinion ) My teacher give me some really good advise how to play that better and it REALLY does help ^^ :)

  • Yes, I see what your saying. it is very nice. A lot of feeling goes in to this one .fviend

  • Heel mooi gespeeld! 5 *!

  • Bedankt :D !

  • Klinkt goed! :D Mooi gespeeld :)

  • Bravo! :)) erg goed.

  • Een hele eer om van u een reactie te mogen hebben dank u wel mevrouw
