@luincair I just heard that Rourke is going to play Genghis Khan, and I had to come here and see this video again. Yes, indeed, it's sad that the MMW predicted this kind of crap. But, at the same time, things are so f'ed up in Hollywood, especially with the yellowface, that it's sad that this isn't almost predicting or foreshadowed but just pointing out how racist Hollywood is. They think nothing's wrong with this. Down with Hollywood!

SIDE NOTE: I finally saw "Only the Brave," and you, as well as the rest of the cast, did a very good job. I'll admit, tears came to my eyes while watching it.

My point was about the portrayals (and the lack of portrayals) of Asian-Americans and of people of Asian descent in American entertainment. The roles are lacking, and when there are roles, they're usually demeaning, stereotypical ones. Even Asian women fare better than Asian men, but they're stereotyped, too. Asian men can play gay guys, martial arts guys, monks, bad-guy Asian soldiers, heartless gangsters, etc. And in the case of Last Airbender, Asian roles are played by white people.

What the people behind 21 the movie is complete b.s. That's why I refused to watch it and bashed it at any opportunity I could find. Hollywood's always taking "true" stories and putting white people at the center of them, even if they played a side role, if any at all. I do have some respect for the poker movie Lucky You, a FICTIONAL movie that put forth an effort to have Asian-Americans at every table throughout the movie, and even had a small speaking role for an Asian actor.
