I think they said that out of all the girls Dominique Dawes was the shy one. They said that when they would do interviews and take pictures, when she was done, they would look around and she would be gone. They said that she was very sweet, but very timid because she was self-conscious about the way she looked and because of her squeaky voice. Dominique even said herself that all of her teachers in school didn't even know if she could speak because she was so quiet. But now she's very outgoing.
