  • is his guitar detuned electronically during the tapping portion? i can't figure out those chords.

  • @Ozzybeans ever herd of a harmonizer pitchshifter? thats what page used during this spotlight performance, which is why its hard to determine wtf hes playing.

  • @varone6t9

the eventide, yeah. that'll do it i guess. dammit, page! :P

  • Power of the Theremin!

  • Woah, he really does look like a wizard.

  • the theramin solo is agonisingly boring without JPJ and Bonham

  • Friggen Godhead!

  • 6:00

    terminator I

  • Great Stuff! - what year & concert is this from Shadowman?

  • 1977.07.17 Seattle.

  • do you know what dvd this is?

  • Likely "Seattle Supersonic" (or the other way around, I've heard both) by GM.

  • ahhh, thats right, ive heard seattle supersonic b4, totally forgot about it tho, thanks for the info!

  • its a boot leg

  • The perfect thing to accompany a dark night walking in the forest alone

  • il love jimmy's theremin playing with master echophlex...wow,a trippy experience

  • damn I jumped at 0:50

  • I forgot about the black beauty!!! he did use it alot before 70 when it was stolen. Did you know it was a gift from kieth richards after jimmy jammed with the stones on one of there records as a studio ace. Gibson is working on a Page sig. series Black Beauty.

  • the gift from Keith was a 1959 Les Paul. i think it was 1959. sunburst cherry.

  • his les paul was from joe walsh

  • To clear it up and or mutle it up some...jimmy used 3 Les Pauls with Zeppelin.

his 58 refered to as #1 his 59/#2 a tad darker brown than #1 with silver grovers instead of gold(#1's grovers are gold)and he also used a Dark cherry red Les Paul with NO pickup covers on it. this last all 3 of Jimmy's Les Pauls can be seen in TSRTS movies. ALL during the Dazed section alone. Jimmy has owned all 3 Paul's from at least 73 when TSRTS was filmed.

  • you forgot the black buety that was stolen

when does he use the cherry he uses it in whole lotta love i think he uses a les paul studio now look at black dog form 02 concert its been awhile since i've seen it but i was looking at studio's at it looks like one of them

  • The Nobs Were AND Are the GREATEST rock and roll band to ever tour the earth period!!!

  • Not only did Jimmy Page become the most creative guitarist in the world but he also laid done the principles of hand motion, as can be seen in modern day ravin. Much as I am a massive fan of shadowmans vids I cannot stand all this crap about the drugs Pagey was on. The fact is Led Zep were the greatest rock band in the world, only a couple of bands have come remotley close.

  • Now, imagine yourself there.

  • The Nobs Freaking Ruled the 70's and there fixin to own 08 to 10 too!!! go Nobs!!!

  • we need to see the 2nd. part of this!!

give this comment a plus if U want the second part of this!!!! (:

    plz plz Shadow01!! (:

  • Don't try this at home.Good lord, what was going through his mind while doing this?

  • Diacetylmorphine hydrochloride and visions of Boleskine.

  • the seeds of in through the out door are planted in this song

  • any chances of the 2nd part of this? =]

  • this mustve been wild to see live

  • do u need an amp to get noise from a theremin?

  • for most yes.

  • can u use a guitar amp for a theremin?

  • sure can, instruments(electric)& amps...the instrument creates a signal/sound wave, usually very quiet (if u plug in in headohones to a guitar you can hear it verrrry subtly) the amp takes this signal and amplifies it. NOW certains amps respond better to different frequencies...i.e you wouldn't use a bass amp for a theremin, even though you could, page used Orange guitar amps for his theremin

  • thanks man this really helped cuz i feel like getting a theremin for me self

  • This video makes me want to buy me a theremin.

  • I want it,but it costs too much!!!but i love it

  • eii Shadow! =]

are U goin to post the part II of this vid? =]

Id be pleased if U do!! xD =]

plz plz! and thnk U! =D

  • Now I understand where the Death Wish 2 soundtrack comes from.

  • Man, it takes a sick mind to do this. FUCKIN ROCK ON JIMMY PAGE!!

  • People back in the '70's used to point to this as evidence of Page's practice of Crowley's black magick.

  • i think that there theory is shit because jimmy bought his house and then people wonderded he does crowleys shit then they started stuff of all that crap backwards and jimmy said hey there buying my records ill use it as a trademark thats what i think happend

  • haha, this is fucking wicked!

  • i love the chord he makes with the Flanger-like effect at 6:34-6:36!!!! xD

and the bowing chord sound at the very end.. 6:45

  • how did he do to connect his three MArhsall heads together so they could get the same IN??

  • sheer, absoulte MAGIC!

  • no yeah! like.

look at :39-- hes got three MArshall heads

also look at 1:04 and so on.. hes got 3 marshall amp heads.!! xD

  • yeh 2 for his guiatr itself and 1 for the theremin.. he used that instead of the orange matamp for the theremin from 1975 onwards

  • yeah..

i need to know how can get 2 amps to get the same signal..

*like what U said about the 2 amp heads for the guitar*

    how can i do that?

  • im not entirely sure, ive only got one plexi head connected up to 3 cabs.. i suppose that because there are four input jacks on the plexi you would connect it with several leads. page always had his amps running on outout one and two. well from pausing several videos many times thats what i can see. he had his lead going from the top left input to the bottom right input...

  • you could....just find a "splitter" of sorts and break your guitar signal into two. i think what alexledzepguy is talkiing about is called "stacking" you manipulate the channels of the amp to give a more overdriven sound, using an extra preamp channel to drive the signal before it goes into another preamp. marshall amps are notorious for this feature.

  • absolutley insane

  • that tapping thing he did with his guitar after the theramin solo made me cream

  • In 1977, Jimmy did not perform Dazed and Confused in North America. He performed this somewhat bizarre solo before Achilles Last Stand. It often included sections of the Star Spangled Banner, theramin and bow. Thank you for posting this video. I have never seen this before.

  • as big as a led zepeplin fan as I am does anybody no what song this is.... I thinks its Dazed and confused but not sure

  • nevermind its his Guitar solo

  • after the 75 shows they cut dazed and confuzed so it wasent in there sen in 77

  • how is he doing that?

  • this looks like '77

  • when did he switch from his old LEs Paul to the new one? ? =S i just dont noe

  • he never completely switched from one to the other...he always used 3 les pauls in his shows...well one les paul up until 73, where he got another one of the same color from this guy (lol forgot who). then in 77 he got a cherry red one which jim used mainly for over the hills and sometimes for als

  • so. he used his three LPs at one show every time? ? =O

i though he had switched from his 58 to his 59,(or backwards) =S

    as his main guitar. .

  • well it was more useful to have three guitars that he could have a different sound on each one so he wouldnt have to retune the same guitar for each songs specifications lol

  • haha xD

  • one question:

how to connect two combo amps together. .

i have a Fender Ultimate Chorus (NO DSP) and a crate. .

  • I suggest you don't do that. And if you did, you would blow your amp up, because you are amplifying an already amplified sound. Doesn't work very well anyway.

  • then how did Page connect his three Marshall heads together? =S

  • my favorite solo from him!! xD

NOBODY has ever done any kind of these solos. .=/

they just want to do tapping and afst playing. .

  • robert fripp,

    omar rodriguez lopez

  • IMO the 1975 Earls Court dates are Led Zeppelin's greatest shows.

  • YES these are the best shows, in my opinion, please post more from this year if you have them :O

  • this isnt earls court this is Seattle 77

  • Well they are still the best shows

  • haha yeah
