Also the prices are correct. Horse meat is considered a delicacy in France, Belgium, and Japan. The slaughtering houses that WERE in the U.S. were all Belgium owned. They will pay more for the pound for it then filet mignon. What you eat is up to you. But these animals belonged to someone else. It's thievery, and if they are caught they should be punished. Personally I hope some farmer catches them on his property, and they meet two bullets to the head. That's the only way it will send a mesage.

@aganstshiper What is upsetting is that horses used for consumption were once pets. All of them. Humans do not RAISE horses for consumption like rabbits, cows, pigs and poultry. All of the horses in the food industry destined for slaughter are Ex-race horses, family pets, carriage horses, or injured work horses that are deemed "no longer useful" by their owners. Horse meat is simply dangerous to consume due to the fact that no one can guarantee the purity of the meat.
