there are counters to armbars. rolling is a good counter but yes it is very hard. i wouldnt say he is an idiot i would say he has heart.

That wasn't the problem. If your going to do Shooto rules the ref needs to be on top of the action, not let one guy get knocked down (twice in fact), pounded on the ground and almost get armbarred. He should have grabbed Torres as soon as he landed that knee.
