I think the point your trying to get to is, Vanilla was just about the world and exploration and adventure.
You were free and if you wanted to do random stuff you done it.

great video, it is very interesting, and refrshing to have a original and optimistic point of vue. I don't know, when you did this video if somes of the new zones were out ( I think you ) i genually believe that they are lovely. One thing WOTLK had and not cata was really pretty zones with really nice music. God farming in scholazar bassin or listening to the music in the grisonnes was just great. I loved it. You choose your spec and as u level you get skills you would get from current talent builds based on spec. There goes all the skills you would normally pick up while lvling up. Now every 15 lvls we get ANOTHER choice. Tbh its all our current talents we have spent + more options.

I also fought the World Dragons in Vanilla, and the Dragons in Northrend are also protectors. We met them multiple times in Vanilla as well, The thing with this game is that it doesnt focus on one story, but all of them, the whole Lore. When Deathwing stopped being the Aspect of Earth, and became Death, his fellow dragons from the Black Dragonflight, like Nefarion and Onyxia, who the old players fought, brought back the experiments Nefarion made in Vanilla, and managed to continue in Cata.
In Wrath of the Lich King, Arthas killed his own father, his own people, made them Undead, The Alliance and Horde set aside their differances to work together to defeat him, but Yogg-Saron is an Old God, he corrupted some of the gaurdians left behind by the Titans to take care of Northrend.
Naga used to be Night Elves. Blood Elves used to be High Elves. From my point of view with each expansion the game has been dumbed down, so younger players can play, and with the "Pokemon" addition, the older players, or those I've talked to, don't really care. What's next: Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic The Gathering?
I'm sorry, but if you are going to talk about Lore for Mists of Pandora you should read up more on Vanilla, BC, and WotLK. I'm a Vanilla player, I did the 20 man and 40 man raids, there is lore there. Kil'Jaden from Sunwell is a Burning Legion General, The expansion was about the Burning Crusade. Illidan worked for them after his fight with the Lich King in Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, and was banished from Azeroth by his brother.
Well I have an idea of how the new class could work for healing in combat. If there are stances like the warrior has make one that has a healing proc rate on it and have styles that give a chance to replenish X health or a chain that if it all hits is like a normal big heal from a true healer. Also in their tree they get bonuses to that proc rate or amount healed by the style or chain. I wouldn't think of a monk as a full healer but rather as someone who could fill up splash dmg.
Great video and nice thoughts. I remember when we finally downed LK and everyone was just siting and being bored, hopefully this ain't gonna happen again! All the new things about Mists of Pandaria sounds awesome tbh, so hopefully they're gonna make it awesome too!

As far as the new talent system goes how does giving us six choices out of 18 make more variety than 41 out of about 90? The math absolutely does not work on that and you know that the "experts" will find builds that work best for certain classes and that is what people will do.
Spin it any way you like. Pandas as part of the lore occupied maybe 0.01% of the story which is MUCH MUCH less than anything else Blizzard has ever put in the game.

i agree that blizzard has been bringing up boring subjects but i think pandaria is a great expansoin idea although i dont want to hear all the random bull crap from people wanting to do a companion battle and its going to be alot like dueling, people are going to follow you nonstop until you duel them theres going to be constant bragging and it adds another subject that you dont want to listen to from a freind when your in a dungeon or trying to get honor points
Well i for one am really upset with the pet battle system and here is why, yes even i at age 20 like pokemon but that aside i believe they should remain different games and out of wow. Pokemon will draw a lot of children attention in the game. And we will have to see the pet dules outside of orgrimmar or stormwind and i for one do now want to see that. My solution is why not make it like a "gigipet" or a cho from sonic. that way the RP people can do whatever by themself.
thats the problem with WoW . is NOT an RPG (for an mmorpg), because your class-spec is the same (or a little differences) with someone who have the same class-spec. they are same little things to do like in ret palas you can go FULL dps or go dps with healing in mind (selfless heal). but the way you will play that class-spec is the same with other peoples with the same class-spec.
the point of the new system is to pick your spec again, but to choose abilities which effects the way u play

I don't care how long pandas have been a tiny blip on the screen for Warcraft, it's a complete gimmick. Blizzard is completely pulling the lore out of their asses because they know that whatever they do, this expansion has to be a hit, and they're willing to to something this stupid to make it one. The worst part is they don't have any unique "culture", from the looks of the previews here, everything about the overall design is just typical Asian-looking stuff.

I've only been playing wow for a few months, but I really enjoy pvp, and on the rare occasion when you can do some open world pvp, like taking the little towers in the outlands, and you actually have people of the other faction that will try and fight you for them, that's just fun
I'm excited for the new expansion for a few reasons. Only thing that pisses me off are these idiots comparing Panderan monks to Kung Fu Panda. Only thing I want to point out about the Talent system you didn't understand. The every 15 levels is NOT your talents. Your talents are the same on every toon/class combo, you just get them instead of putting points on them and choosing. The every 15 levels is supposed to be the choices to make you look different. The 15 levels are your options that no matter what you choose, SHOULD ALL be equally effective, but how you want to play and what sounds cooler is your choice.

@TacTiCsNatshep Guild leveling was in EQ2 First. Achievements have been every xbox game ever. Just because industry staples are being used in the industry doesn't mean anyone is copying anyone. This is just what players today are coming to expect in games.

First of all i want thank you for making this whole "pokemon" pet vs pet theme seem actually cool and something you can with your friends or guildies while your waiting for your que to pop, and second of all i totally agree with you on the whole idea of not having one big boss because then once you defeat him, what left to do? also i agree on how having the Alliance vs Horde aspect back would give us some more action, spice up the game, and hopefully bring some world pvp back. :)
I only had one problem with what you said some what to the begging its was something along the lines of "guilds don't come up with there own strat. they use someone else's" and that is wrong my guild has 2 raid teams i am on the seconds one of like through together people we have 3 dks and like 2 marksmen hunters and like just a mess up comp and we have to use unconventional methods do FL.
I think that a lot of the new adjustments in the next xpak are very much needed cause tbh wow has kinda shifted between mostly pvp or pve at one point. By bringing this balance that has been much needed for a while to come will IMO be welcomes roughly but will be appreciated to many ppl. But a question I have is do the ppl that do beta get a free copy of MOP??

@orginallos There was PvE at the end. I didn't go into details about melee mechanics because I didn't really think I needed to. There are TONS of knock backs, silences, aoes, and cleaves that happen around bosses on a very large majority of the boss encounters in WoW. I think a melee based healer would have a hard time coping with these as well as worrying about 24 other members of a raid.
I totally agree with you, I want it to be horde vs alliance. I want to feel that epic battle. And judging from what I have seen from the blizzcon panel it will be like that (sort of). I will try to explain...
Pandaria was dicovered during a naval battle between horde and alliance. They both get shipwrecked (in the starting zone) and they begin to fight each other. In this all out conflict that releases all the Sha (negative energy). After that you help the pandaren fight the sha.
@FoldedArt Don't look at it as a mandatory thing you have to do in the game. It's just something cool to do with vanity pets that up until now have served NO purpose what so ever.
I played WoW for almost 5 years, since vanilla, and after LK was released, in my opinion, went straight down a cliff. This, is just gonna put it down further in the cliff. Blizzard made the Pandarians in Warcraft as kind of a funny mess around sorta race. They were not made to be taken seriously. To add this to not even an MMO but the biggest selling MMO in the nation I think it's kind of foolish. All I can really tell my self now is thank God i stopped playing.

As far as the new talent system goes how does giving us six choices out of 18 make more variety than 41 out of about 90? The math absolutely does not work on that and you know that the "experts" will find builds that work best for certain classes and that is what people will do.

i agree that blizzard has been bringing up boring subjects but i think pandaria is a great expansoin idea although i dont want to hear all the random bull crap from people wanting to do a companion battle and its going to be alot like dueling, people are going to follow you nonstop until you duel them theres going to be constant bragging and it adds another subject that you dont want to listen to from a freind when your in a dungeon or trying to get honor points

Well i for one am really upset with the pet battle system and here is why, yes even i at age 20 like pokemon but that aside i believe they should remain different games and out of wow. Pokemon will draw a lot of children attention in the game. And we will have to see the pet dules outside of orgrimmar or stormwind and i for one do now want to see that. My solution is why not make it like a "gigipet" or a cho from sonic. that way the RP people can do whatever by themself.

thats the problem with WoW . is NOT an RPG (for an mmorpg), because your class-spec is the same (or a little differences) with someone who have the same class-spec. they are same little things to do like in ret palas you can go FULL dps or go dps with healing in mind (selfless heal). but the way you will play that class-spec is the same with other peoples with the same class-spec.
the point of the new system is to pick your spec again, but to choose abilities which effects the way u play

I don't care how long pandas have been a tiny blip on the screen for Warcraft, it's a complete gimmick. Blizzard is completely pulling the lore out of their asses because they know that whatever they do, this expansion has to be a hit, and they're willing to to something this stupid to make it one. The worst part is they don't have any unique "culture", from the looks of the previews here, everything about the overall design is just typical Asian-looking stuff.

I've only been playing wow for a few months, but I really enjoy pvp, and on the rare occasion when you can do some open world pvp, like taking the little towers in the outlands, and you actually have people of the other faction that will try and fight you for them, that's just fun

Only thing I want to point out about the Talent system you didn't understand. The every 15 levels is NOT your talents. Your talents are the same on every toon/class combo, you just get them instead of putting points on them and choosing. The every 15 levels is supposed to be the choices to make you look different. The 15 levels are your options that no matter what you choose, SHOULD ALL be equally effective, but how you want to play and what sounds cooler is your choice.

What ever. I enjoy the game and am happy blizz is trying to fix what they messed up, but the game is losing it's luster even for me when I have more fun reliving my glory days of gaming on Legend of Zelda 3D.

First of all i want thank you for making this whole "pokemon" pet vs pet theme seem actually cool and something you can with your friends or guildies while your waiting for your que to pop, and second of all i totally agree with you on the whole idea of not having one big boss because then once you defeat him, what left to do? also i agree on how having the Alliance vs Horde aspect back would give us some more action, spice up the game, and hopefully bring some world pvp back. :)

I only had one problem with what you said some what to the begging its was something along the lines of "guilds don't come up with there own strat. they use someone else's" and that is wrong my guild has 2 raid teams i am on the seconds one of like through together people we have 3 dks and like 2 marksmen hunters and like just a mess up comp and we have to use unconventional methods do FL.

I think that a lot of the new adjustments in the next xpak are very much needed cause tbh wow has kinda shifted between mostly pvp or pve at one point. By bringing this balance that has been much needed for a while to come will IMO be welcomes roughly but will be appreciated to many ppl. But a question I have is do the ppl that do beta get a free copy of MOP??

@orginallos There was PvE at the end. I didn't go into details about melee mechanics because I didn't really think I needed to. There are TONS of knock backs, silences, aoes, and cleaves that happen around bosses on a very large majority of the boss encounters in WoW. I think a melee based healer would have a hard time coping with these as well as worrying about 24 other members of a raid.

I totally agree with you, I want it to be horde vs alliance. I want to feel that epic battle. And judging from what I have seen from the blizzcon panel it will be like that (sort of). I will try to explain...
Pandaria was dicovered during a naval battle between horde and alliance. They both get shipwrecked (in the starting zone) and they begin to fight each other. In this all out conflict that releases all the Sha (negative energy). After that you help the pandaren fight the sha.

I played WoW for almost 5 years, since vanilla, and after LK was released, in my opinion, went straight down a cliff. This, is just gonna put it down further in the cliff. Blizzard made the Pandarians in Warcraft as kind of a funny mess around sorta race. They were not made to be taken seriously. To add this to not even an MMO but the biggest selling MMO in the nation I think it's kind of foolish. All I can really tell my self now is thank God i stopped playing.
