The tall ones don't make sense to me, either. But I kind of like the set up at 0:25 Adequate space, not too tall, and very colorful.

Cleaning isn't that hard, really. Most rodents choose one cage for pooping and peeing and that's the one that needs changing weekly. The other ones don't need changing as often. There are some exceptions to the rule, though... (rodents that will just "go" wherever they are).

some of these cages only cost around $50-$60 dollars to buy all the stuff. i am buyin more hamster supplies AND the 3-story Critter-Trail soon. i already have the Princess Pink Castle Cage, AND the 2-story Crittertrail, and about 15-16 tubes. and this is all for 1 hamster :) my beloved Fuzzy. i am getting lots more cages, soon mine look like these. :) Its really fun to clean. :D. These cages (exept from 0.25) are way to small. In nature hamsters are running 5 km every night and are living in undergroundssystems. In these cages hamsters aren't able to run or to dig. The cage should be 100x50 cm and the bedding high 20 cm. By the way we don't use plastic in germany but wood,roots,moss and stones liek in nature. I would be pleased if you have a look at my videos and might understand!
