  • I've heard a fart at the beginning, didn't I?

  • Running this fast, perfect electric generator.

  • wow i just thought of something (doesnt happen often) couldnt you use something like this to generate electricity for like an emergency situation. because you would mostly have water and wood for fire right??? it would be easier than trying to start a gas engine and the fuel is easier too

  • There are videos on youtube of larger scale engines being used as generators, certainly. Bit impractical with something like this (this one needs electricity to run ;) ). These little engines also do not have a lot of power. This one in particular can manage to run itself, but not a whole lot else.

  • Where did you manage to find one?

  • They come up on ebay every now and then. The prices seem to go up more and more every time one comes up, though.

  • man that is a cool turbine!much bigger than that wilesco thats for sure!i must admit it must use much more steam to turn it though right?

  • This model has a more powerful heater than your average Empire, so it produces a fair bit more steam, and goes through water at a good rate (though very little condenses on the engine). I'm guessing they made the rotor (or whatever it's called) so big because, unlike Wilesco and Jensen, it's not geared, so it has to be of large diameter to have any sort of mechanical advantage. It sounds cool, but it must have been a bit of a disappointment to any kid who wanted to run more than a tool or two.

  • so cool mate!

  • You get that much metal moving it doesnt want to stop
