I didn't think there was anything WRONG with the album per se, it just wasn't what I was hoping for. The songs sound good and have kind of an "older-skool" feel to them. What I miss is the very aggressive, almost industrial-metal-sounding tracks from the first Hellbilly Deluxe and other albums. Everyone knows what I'm talking about... Scum of the Earth, Superbeast, American Nightmare, Dragula. THOSE are the ones that really get me going. RZ is still my idol, but this just isn't my thing. =/
albums though. Because he makes amazing albums that come with amazing artwork etc. Zombie is a God. And... You NEED to see him live! My favorite song off the album is either Sick Bubblegum, Virgin Witch or Burn. But off the Reissue my favorite is probably Michael, Devils Hole Girls and the Big Revolution or Everything is Boring. The reissues new songs are kickass and a lot like Hellbilly Deluxe.
This album is pretty kickass. I like Hellbilly Deluxe better because it Zombie's best album in my opinion. I wish HD 2 sounded more like the first Hellbilly Deluxe. But it's still really good. Zombie has amazing shows, btw. Probably the best live show ever. No joke, it's mind blowing and ridiculous. And about the comment you said about Zombie making this be his last album, he said it MAY be his last physical album, because of the popularity of downloading music. I hope he still makes phsyical
yeah its a great album! sick bubblegum and mars needs women are still stuck in my noggin!! yay!! some of the song names felt abit been there repeated from his other cds . ie american wich=virgin witch and so on but yeah great album!!
i just bought this album a few days ago and i was amazed how awesome it was it sounds very simular to hellbilly deluxe but i think i like 2 better than 1 and thats saying something
Cool review man, I plan on getting this album tomorrow. How would you compare it to Rob Zombie's last album, Educated Horses ? That was a pretty cool album.
i agree, the album is awesome, id give it a 9/10 or a 8.5/10. The man who luahgs, the only reason i didnt like it was because that extremely long and out drwan drum solo.
Yeah I didn't like the man who stares to much either I mean I did like the chorus but that REALLY LONG drum solo which I would've been fine with if it was a little more eventful but it was really quite in some parts.
I like jesus frankenstien
