  • excelent video helped a lot i think i will try the trapper lock

  • @CVOoutdoors Thanks for watching!

  • have you checked out the back pocket?

  • @SharpStuff112 I haven't had one in my hand yet, but I hear GREAT things about them. One of these days I'll get ahold of one.

  • nice knives..thank you..for my german folks a translation = eine übersetzung: case knives = käse messer ;-)

  • @uddoss Thank you! And thanks for watching. :)

  • @chopperguy801 I really like that cheetah knife how much do they go for and where can I get one?

  • @threetwentynine The Cheetah pattern is currently a "vaulted" pattern meaning that they are not producing any at the factory right now. They have been "vaulted" since 01/01/08. I believe they are due to come out and they will be producing them again very soon. Prices vary with different handle materials, and sellers but you should find one for around $50 and up. Thanks for watching!

  • Maybe you can answer this question as well. I know the difference in quality between Chrome Vanadium and Case's Surgical Stainless steel. My question is, do you know what the actual class of steel Case uses (i.e. 440HC, 154CM, VG-10, S30V, etc.)?

  • @shaggyusm26 I do not know what the actual class of their steel in each is. I believe it is a proprietary makeup in each exclusive to them. As for there being a difference in quality between CV and SS . I think quality may be the wrong word, as they are both excellent steels but each exhibits different properties. Many prefer the older CV and claim it takes an edge better than the SS. I do know that they use some of the other steels in different knives, like 154CM in all their Slimlocks.

  • Case really does make beautiful pocket knives. Two of my favorite gentleman EDCs are my Case Medium Stockman (red bone pocket worn) and my Case Medium Congress (jigged green bone). The green bone in particular is beautiful because it looks so much like jade. I also have the small 6 1/2" leather Hunter (I use it as a steak knife when camping or to bring to work for lunch use). I want to eventually get a Russlock and a Trapperlock. The craftmanship is just wonderful on Case knives.

  • O like both the trapped and the russlock

  • @69Camaro991 They are both great knives in the hand.

  • the scales on that trapper are awesome.

  • @TheHellBound666 Thanks! It's a custom burl walnut with turquoise.

  • @chopperguy801

nice combo, you can't beat burl.

  • @TheHellBound666 I agree, just wish I had the talent to rehandle them like the guy who made that one does.

  • @chopperguy801

yeah I wouldn't mind being able to do something like that either! Some people are just born with it I guess.

  • Thank you for this video, its very intresting. I only have one (case) trapper, realy like it. But you showed the cheetah, and thats a beautiful knife. Does the cheetah always have a lockback?

  • Do you have a Copperlock or Mini Copperlock for your collection? Ive recently picked up a couple Mini Copperlocks and have really took a liking to em, you should pick one up if ya dont have one think you'd really like em!

  • @guyz04gtp I don't have either of those copperlocks, but recently I have thought of getting one of each to check out. I think they would make a great carry.

  • @chopperguy801 I highly recommend them, Ive been using a Mini Copperlock as an EDC and its great. Cant hardly tell its in your pocket, locks and has a great cutting edge, just another great Case knife!

  • I'm looking for a good work knife thats comfortable in the hand as well as the pocket when I'm not using it. I do not want it to be really small. Would you recommend a knife for me?

  • @arsenal23fan I would probably go with a Trapper pattern. It has two blades. A good size in the hand, and fits in the pocket okay. If it's a work knife, the yellow composite handles are durable and the steel is cv ( chrome vanadium) which holds an edge good and is easy to sharpen. Another option for a single blade knife would be a Sodbuster, Hope this helps, thanks for watching.

  • @chopperguy801 Thank you. I had been thinking about a trapper, but i didn't know if that was the best choice. But you have described what i need.

  • @arsenal23fan Glad I could help.

  • @chopperguy801 Would a trapperlock be good also?

  • @arsenal23fan A trapperlock would also be a good choice, and it has a liner lock which can be useful. It will cost a little more than a trapper as it is a newer pattern.

  • i just got my first case knife!

  • @viperdude400ltd Cool! Bet it wont be your last...

  • @chopperguy801 i bet it wont! its a beautiful humpback stockman in harvest orange.

  • I am digging the trapper. What is the name of that certain handle? It looks very nice

  • @Myou249

Thanks! That one is a custom handled trapper. 1 of a kind.

Burl Walnut with a Turquoise cigar band.

  • Creepy, I have the exact same Soddie. Nice collection.

  • @tubaknifeguy
