  • I listen to this everyday

  • Awesome.

  • BUCKETHEAD ,, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR GUITAR ,, AMEN ...

  • @laurent5359 Kill yourself

  • Mom

  • i will always admire any famous, or performing individual who honors a mother through a work. Mothers deserve credit in any child's success.

  • Heard this song, w/o seeing the title, while I was studying. Felt so warm and nurturing. I looked to see what it was, and started crying. Just so beautiful and makes me want my mom with me now.

  • @iamvillainmo dude same here on the studying part! Pandora.

  • @thetreeceman, Playing a guitar that has a bad setup is STYLISH now? You're joking, right?

  • I love Buckethead and his music to DEATH, but dear Lord does this guy just not have a good guitar tech or something? Does he not know how to do a basic setup on his guitars? This song is awesome, it is beautiful, but those little metallic buzzes from the strings being to loose and smacking the frets just kills it for me. It ruins the clarity of the notes, and kills the sustain.

  • @proteasng It's part of the style, broseph. Dude has been playing guitar for decades; I'm sure he could change that if he wanted.

  • @proteasng who knows dude. give the guy a decent set-up and he may shit the bed. It could just be habitual-it had to be one of those things where he wants it just as his little hundred dollar starting guitar was.

  • how can a person not like this song? I mean i listen to some hardcore shit, but sometimes songs like this are just good to hear

  • thumbs up if you thought he was pointing at someone in the crowd 2:41

  • @ncripzx Thumbs up if you post pointless 'Thumbs up if you...' comments on YouTube. OH, WAIT-

  • @Edgtheow immagrant

  • I take it a lot of people who commented live in Europe, lol.

  • Mom, you left to be with our Father 15 years ago today. I miss you. This is for you. Thanks Buck.

  • watch?v=uvDeeIpZg9A

  • I love Buckethead because he shows us so much love with the music and the guitar. And he makes music that shows how much he care about he's parents. I wish buckethead were more known. He has all my respect. he's the best man.

  • I can hear to this song over and over again...love it :)

  • i hate you mum but i love this song <333

  • Beautiful, just like you Mum, see you again soon nite Godbless xxx

  • It's amazing how Buckethead *is awesome!* can play the heaviest of music to the fastest of shards and solos and then has the ability to play the most emotional and heart warming sounds ever to come from a guitar like soothsayer, for mom, watching the boats with my dad, electric tears and I love my parents. Buckethead, you are truly an inspiration to me and young musicians in the world. LONG LIVE BUCKETHEAD!

  • i love this song of buckethead mama i love you this is song is for you...

  • I love and miss you, Mom. I hope you enjoy this. I asked him to write a tribute to you and this was his reply. I'll see you again soon.

  • how could anyone not like this?

  • i love you buckethead.

  • Hm... Wouldn't this be an acoustic vid of buckethead? That one you couldn't find?

  • @asdffdsa9 couldn't find on youtube, so he uploaded.

  • For chicken mom :3

  • happy mother's day to all the mothers out there!

  • some one has the tabs for this version live...!!!!?

  • Best Edipo song

  • Best Edipo song

  • I wish I were his mom.

  • fuck off perfectionist

    Buck is a God

  • OMG did buckethead play wrong at 0:13 O.o

  • @FortisBong any chance there's a video of that floating around somewhere?

  • @Etyrnal2K @Etyrnal2K yes, here /watch?v=kVKxtk610UM

  • I LOVE YOU MOM.......and BUCKETHEAD :D

  • Fuckin Epic... I love you Mom!

  • damnit no one is that genuis.

  • The hand in the bottom left, bobbing back and forth for most of the video.

  • Everything was beautiful, until 3:33 though, I just really didn't feel that part sounding very melodic with the reverb and his choice of notes there.

  • @dman19851996 your'e being sarcastic, right?

  • @speaker3600 I really am not.

  • @dman19851996 the same to me, but the fact is that it has been changed the key of the song, so that it seems he played "weird" notes.... but as the second part of the song progresses the song sounds good, isn't it? ;)

  • @PorcaScrofa Come to think of it, after listening again, it's not that bad.

  • so powerful

  • Bucket plays in these orbital hexagon octagonal ways..And If you hang out at guitar center or hot topic ill get you

  • sounds a bit like Diary of a madman ^^

  • @DieLetztenZwei it's almost identical, that's where buckethead copied the riff...still great song though.

  • @DieLetztenZwei there's a live video of buckethead playing the intro of diary of a madman, so its not like he never heard it before

  • @DieLetztenZwei It is a A major to A minor back to A major riff like diary.. Something like that.

  • This has got to be the best version of "for mom" I've ever heard. I can't listen to it enough and the lead takes it to another level , he just hits the perfect notes!!! (well for me anyways)

  • if you dont like bucket head youre a no soul ginger

  • @angelamezcua GINGERS HAVE SOULS!

  • His work ethic and ability to incorporate parts of his life and the feelings associated with them is jaw-dropping. He is the only musician I have ever heard that can paint a picture of anything that he wants to with his music. You can almost see the image or feel the feeling. He reaches inside your mind and your emotions. You can almost feel the process he went through to make such perfection.

  • Very beautiful and poignant Music. When He plays, it just unlocks the doors to even the well hidden emotions that bubble underneath. It's incredible how He can alternate between so many different Musical styles as well. To fully enjoy and appreciate the art of Music, one needs variety. Buckethead seems to provide the broadest range of Music all by Himself. A true modern-day Virtuoso. Peace.

  • buckethead is the pure inspiration for me ...

  • If you don't like buckethead, you either have no feelings or you don't like any type of music... or both.

  • well this one is not his best show but still great feeling.

  • shits awesome

  • 45 people really need to get their fists out of their asses

  • Buckethead is pretty sweet. Half of it is cause of the mask and bucket. The other half is cause he's a virtuoso.

  • read buckethead story and you will find the meaning of this song and all his solos

  • buckethead play with his emotion thats why his music is touching

  • i have no words...i just love this guy...

  • Buckethead's music needs no singing, his playing speaks for itself.

  • @JonteIRL That's what I tell everyone whose like ZOMG his music sucks cuz he doesn't sing

  • 44 mother disliked this cuz their sons didnt make a song for them.....

  • @Gontral47

    ROFL LMAO

  • @Gontral47 hahahahahhahaahhaha epic answer

  • @Gontral47 44 sons are adopted...

  • @neymacastro hey now....I'm adopted and I still love my mother ^_^

  • @speaker3600 you must be the number 45 lol...

  • Viva la madre que te parió Bucket

  • @Gontral47 my mom can blame that on me suddenly I realise that I ought to feel shame on my rhythmless.

  • Sí la verdad es que está de puta madre y es un genio; pero a pesar de todo lo que es la guitarra clásica no la domina demasiado y a veces se le escapa la púa xD

  • if he makes an occasional mistake it somehow dosent seem like it,because the music always works out perfectly in the end

  • it's for u mom!!

  • i think at 1:13 he realised how good he was and was like "shit, oh wait ..im playing live lol"

  • Who said God doesn´t exist? He just wears a mask and a bucket so we don´t recognize him.

  • 1:13, maybe he is human?

  • @AVFC0711 can you play better? thumbs down.

  • @cadeservesbetter

did i say he made a misttake at 1 13 so he is not as good as me at guitar, ermm no i focking didnt, it was a joke about ppl say he is soo good at guitar he cant be human

  • @AVFC0711 I don't think what he did at 1:13 was a mistake. This version isn't the studio version. Buckethead could be making mistakes all the time and we don't notice. We don't know what he was trying to do, but it still sounds awesome. if you practice something long enough, it sounds awesome no matter how you play it

  • @AVFC0711 :) purhaps

  • POWERFUL STUFF BROTHER> POWERFUL STUFF!!!!!!!

  • wow...sounds so different from the album version...almost hip hop like...I love it...

  • why my comment with 57 thumbs up don't show as top rated? =[

  • this is way better acoustic work than those douchbags who strum the crap out of the guitar!!!

  • @ramfan32 YES

  • exelent

  • I have never even heard of Bucketshed until two days ago and I can't play guitar, you fags

  • this guy sucks, there are many much better guitarist....including me

  • @JosephW99 Buckethead is so much better than you more others, you cant say anymore. thats fact, look up for his songs and find out, biatch pwnd!!! imao Lol!!

  • @JosephW99 suck my dick

  • @JosephW99 Unless you are Joe Satriani himself, hanging out on the old youtube it's obvious you lie! Even then it's a tough call. They (not you fool) are almost equally talented. I personally would still (probably on most given days, excluding Saturdays?) have to say Buckethead is more varied in his style. You're trollin' man.

  • @Triton1051 you caught me.....trollin

  • @JosephW99 xDDD "Yeah I thought they wuz' outside playing, out there ya know, round the house; ... and they wuz up at the slaughterhouse...trollin'. (Nosin') Check it out: Search: Buckethead Nosin' from one to about one to ten seconds, to see what I mean if you don't get the somewhat obscure reference. XD

  • the best version ever of this song!

lvoe this song since i listened to for the very first time!

    buckethead is amazing!

  • Mr. and Mrs. Carroll must of had really passionate sex to create such a genius

  • this is good but i am better

  • @JosephW99 Sorry, we all disagree.

  • @PAPERINIKGT trollin'

  • @JosephW99 Lol it's just the truth... I mean: if you say you're better than Buckethead, well everybody disagrees. Pwned

  • @PAPERINIKGT pwned...how?? you are the only one who disagrees...plus, you haven't heard me play......maybe you'd say otherwise

  • @JosephW99 Ahah do you really believe you're better than Buckethead? Ahahahahah shit that's funny ahahhahahah you're so ridiculous dude ahahahah omg... be realistic, you're not better than him. (Also i'm not the only one disagreing XD). Please don't answer or i'll die laughing on the floor ahahahahaha better than bucket lol

  • Buckethead = epitome of talent.

Slash = Overrated mediocre faggot who takes multiple black dicks in his ass.

  • @cizzin slash is also good but BUCKETHEAD IS BEST

  • @cizzin Dumbass, You think saying stuff like that will make you cool, when it just shows your ignorance. Slash and Buckethead can't be compared.

  • @asdfcrow No, I don't expect anything I say to make me cool. I'm not ignorant, I've heard Slash and I've heard buckethead. Slash is just simply overrated whereas buckethead is extremely talented.

  • @171jane noob slash doesn´t play tjid style btw axl ask him to play with guns he didn't ask so you fail

  • @171jane HAHAHAH. He WANTS to sound like Slash? Wait, no you're right! Buckethead sounds way better than Slash, but he's so humble, he wishes he could sound as mediocre as Slash!

  • @171jane lol i've never seen Slash play ANYTHING like this so idk where your gettin that

  • Watch as buckethead uses his otherworldly powers to teleport to center stage at 3:25

  • 41 people don't love their mom

  • Really wish Pinchface played the drums with force and drive like Brain did on this song on Colma. The driving drums really work well with this song.

  • Whats in the bucket? KFC? KICKIN FUCKIN CHOPS!

  • god...I just love Buckethead. This is beautiful.

  • this guy is amazing a the best guitarest ive hear plain n simple show me a guy that can play this bad ass relaxing jam and then fucken shred nasty ass hell. nobody best in the world. no fucken words just beats that make you think.

  • he is music!

  • for Mom? this is a beautiful gift....

  • YOUR SO SENSITIVE BUCKETHEAD!

  • this is so beautiful. Does anyone know what guitar it is that he's playing in this vid?

  • is that dave wiener on bass? jk nr

  • Bass player totally misses coming in with buckethead at the same time..And going into a important C# key change in this song. Right at 3;22..Bucketheads to nice to his back up guys buddy tech band mates

  • one can simply pick up and instrument and blow into it or strum. Determined people can simply learn the ways and techniques to play. Masterminds can simply compose music. Caring MAsterminds can simply compose songs that touch the heart. But only one person on this earth can do what none other has dared. Compose music tht reaches deep into you, brings out the best in you, put it on paper, then express all of it throught the art of music. This guy here has a gift. He's a genius.

  • @brunao12321 well...hes no mozart,beethoven,handel,elgar,wagner,rossini,dvorak,vivaldi

  • @deathletter69 no for you man, you can´t compare them.

  • @deathletter69 HE IS BETTER!

  • @brunao12321 You speak the truth, Genius he is. [ yoda]

  • @guitarprism nah not funny :S

  • @brunao12321 awesome fucking comment

  • The man who is in front of Buckethead has got a good place to listen Buckethead....

  • better than most these days...

  • @FreedomPeace1 the best

  • @baconeggs11 he wrote a song for his aunt suzie (soothsayer) and he wrote a song when his aunt suzie died (sail on soothsayer), he wrote an album for his mom when she was sick (colma), and hasn't written a song for her death, so it's safe to assume his mom is doing fine.

  • this guy has the same amount of albums of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai combined, which is 33!!! and all of his stuff sounds different and good. except for "Bucketheadland" and "Bucketheadland 2." not a big fan of those albums.... but other than that, BEST. GUITARIST. IN. THE. WORLD.

  • @biggydoggsjj they're concept albums, they're intended to sound like wandering through a buckethead style theme park. And both albums do have gems in them, Battery Cage Brawls, Frozen Brains Tell No Tales, Welcome to Bucketheadland, Computer Master, and the Cobra's hood to name a few

  • @MechaSixVII ya. i like his live versions of Computer Master, Frozen Brains, and Welcome to Bucketheadland. i just think they shouldnt be considered albums cuz there really isnt songs. i think on Bucketheadland 2 the funniest one is the "leave the chickens alone"

  • @biggydoggsjj I just listed a bunch of songs, lol but most of the albums are not song but atmosphere, it's about engagement, not just easy listening.

  • @biggydoggsjj Agreed all the way!

  • thank's to his mom for bringing him to his world ..

  • @wes417 Buckethead was not born. He was jsut simply..... there.

  • I don´t know if the Bucket´s mom will be alive, but if this song is for his mom being dead, i think she will be it listening from the heaven.... She and all the moms of the World.... Thanks Buckethead for being like you are.

  • Amazing, it's beyond me how anyone cannot appreciate this! This is one of the best!

  • one of my fav songs with earth heals herself, woods of suicide, soothsayer, final wars. wait i love all his songs!@

  • Buckethead plays with his heart

thats why you hear it with your heart

  • One of my top 5 buckethead songs with soothsayer, Nottingham Lace, Padmasana and Sketches of Spain. And this dude has lots of more great stuff :)

  • @crazyankan those are seriously all mine too maybe we are brothers

  • Buckethead is actually the only instrumental guitarist I really like

  • @BerryBlue2000 same here

  • Real music still lives..thank God.Listening and getting teary eyed,moving..

  • cuil

  • wicked:)

  • You know that somewhere under that bucket and mask of his he's crying

  • what i would give for that power...

  • It upsets me that I cannot express myself like this on a guitar.

  • @neurocosm Who says? Guitar isn't about consonance or dissonance, scales or notes, or staccatos or arpeggios.... Guitar is about what YOU put into it. What you feel! Don't think about if it sounds good, just let your heart speak, even if it is the same 3 or 4 chords! That is what guitar is about! It is a gate way for emotions to talk. Guitar is for you, and about YOU! The best music you can make is the kind that you can put your soul into and really feel it. Not what is "hot" this month...

  • @supercoolninjayo - I says. I am talking about expression. Not talent. Not sound, or attitude. I am talking about me, and how I feel. Me expressing myself. If I were a carpenter and admired Holmes, I would be upset to. I am talking about my inability to express myself properly. Me.

  • @neurocosm You most certainly can, though! If you say to yourself you can't express yourself properly, than where will that take you? After you had a rough day, just pick up your guitar and play. There is no "proper" way for one to express him/herself. I do understand that it is your opinion as to how well you express yourself but, why should that matter? Expressing yourself through guitar is your own rhythm and pace. But, if you wish to believe what you say than, so be it.

  • i Personally Like The Early Version Better

  • @Cajunninja65 Really? Then this is my 55 hit so far. Granted, I still haven't listen to most of his songs yet. I have only listened to 55 songs so far... :P

  • @supercoolninjayo wow?? i think i like maybe a dozen of his songs. welcome to buckheadland, big sur moon, wishing well, star wars, for mom, and a few others i can't think of off the top of my head...most of them however i find very annoying
