That he didn't do more is understandable just as one is not forced to testify against one's spouse in court. Look at Adams re. his brother whom he must have known was a sex offender being so quick to support his neice when the matter was raised at a public level. In both cases I certainly wouldn't think of picking up any stones to throw.
