I remember staying up all night just to catch this video on BET. Klymaxx ruled. It's a pitty the girls couldn't get along long enough to have a big comeback.
i believe cheryl should have talked to bernadette before she decided to do what she did. bernadette is the one who formed the group and hired cheryl and the rest of the group. both women still look great after so many years. cheryl is a great musician and bernadette is multi talented.
I use to love them in the 80,s. I wanted to be just like them because they were a sexy and cool girl group. That's the way I acted. Cool with a little sexy twist.
My Klymaxxx memory was seeing them, Skyy and Kool & the Gang at Radio city, in NY back in tha day...6 fine ladies rippin the stage..to never be duplicated.
I'm only 30 yrs old but remember these ladies like it was yesterday and I still LOVE them, especially Bernadette. I wish people still made fun music like this.
I wasn't even born when this came out and i still know it's THE SHIT! I have this type of music in my ipod, well not this song because i think it's too old the internet to have.
they still have not been out done by any other female band and singing group till this day. they are the only female band to have it all. singing and could play their own music..they still are all queens in my eyes
This brings me back to my freshman year in high school. I used to LOVE this song!!! They were doing the damned thing and there has never been an AFB (Black) since them. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected.
yep i did ay the carolina west back in the day here in los angeles .. and dont forget a lil time earlier the eve after dark on avalon bld ...so many memories
Oh yeah i remember Eve After Dark. Don't forget ''The Bitten Apple'' and 'TheTotal Experience'' in Leimert Park and The Hobart Club. Klymaxx was the bomb in L.A.. So many good memories back then.
Paradise, Total Experience, Maverick Flats,. Bitten Apple, Eve After Dark, Carolina West, Hobart Club..... If ya'll wasn't in L.A back in the day....Man, y'all missed out!
Okaaay....don't forget '' Victoria's Station'', ''Tiberios'', ''Pizzazz'', and ''The Name of The Game'' and again...''The Carolina West'' and ''The Speakeasy''. Those were the good 'ol days when you can have fun partying without all of the drama, guns etc as they have today. I am so glad i was partying at that time and im sure are too.
I was just 3 when this came out but this is still one of my favorites songs. Unfortunately I always thought it was called "The Men Are Boys" lol and could never find it.
Yes, I remember this song in the 80's. I was on the dance floor and all the baby doll's were too. It was all good because, I'll was pulling some of them babes.
"cause i know im looking good im giving attitude all over the room people are starring at me i just look to gooooooood for these people!!!' damn you gotta love her cocky ass!!
men all pause, meeting in the ladies room, i miss you....klymaxx was cranking out the hits!! an all girl group that REALLY sang and played all their instruments....these chicks were BAD!!!!!
saw them at the greek theater along with other old school artists perform this past weekend... they were off the chain!!!! they looked great and played an outstanding show!!!! They still got it!!!
I thought to myself that they are a bit to young to be singing about menopause, it would have been appropriate if they were older! Now THAT would be funny to see!
