  • ok I made this on a 7X7 computer paper and it was PERFECT when I finished it. However, when I wet it, it was destroyed. I guess I either used the wrong paper, size, and/or wet it wrong.

  • yeah... once, i tried to wetfold it, but when i came back to it, the paper was in pieces! i was like, what the crap?! but anyway, yeah, when you try to wetfold, you need to be very careful.

  • lol yea. Do u know how now? Or u still cant wetfold it? And also, i love origami. U're really 10? that's really awesome! (lol I'm waiting for a download so I looked at ur page) anyway i thumbs up ur comment xD

  • NIce nice nice...Can u poat another video on how do u fold it?

  • silly people! It's not how u fold it, it's CAN you fold it. All u do is fold by the diagram. It's actually easy unless u are inexperienced. My thoughts are, most of u guys will have lots of trouble making it.

  • sorry did anyone asked you that?

  • sorry did I ask you to ask me that?

  • Yes, I have made four flasher hats.

  • hey, great job! my friend and i r in fifth grade, and we're origami freaks, lol! he made a smaller and more simple one, because he couldn't make the big one.

  • WOW!NICE!

  • can you make the flasher hat?

  • try the flasher hat very hard moddel can you make that

  • whooooa...

  • hi ive been trying to make it for ages i cant find a big square and i cant colapse it

  • can you show us how to make that?

  • I would recommend looking at the diagram link and trying to find his diagram for the smaller flashers. The method is fairly simple, it just takes a lot of time.

  • thanks

  • That is great. You should post a video making it so that others can follow.

  • Oh, that would be difficult. It takes a couple of hours to fold one of these.

  • When you make the video, then you can edit it and speed it up. Anyway are you familar with the Website: Origamidatabase.com. It's really great, I just recently posted two photos. I'm a creator of some folds myself. Thanks for the reply. GAD

  • Yeah, I use origamidatabase.com. I uploaded about 140 pictures in the last month or so.

I don't generally fold flashers while sitting still, so even speeding it up wouldn't help too much.

There really isn't a lot to it, though. A ton of precreasing followed by a slightly tricky colapse process.

  • not quite its abou 1 5 to 30 mins

  • bamm!

  • oh wow that's awesome!!

  • Instructions to this can be found in Jeremy Shafer's origami book 'Origami to Astonish and Amuse' which has many other really cool paper effects as well.

    Highly recommended.

  • Wow, this is cool!! is this origami?

  • Yep, nothing but a (big) square of paper.

  • Very interesting!!!
