I don't think that King Diamond actually hits these notes. I agree that you have to respect the original composition and surely the record track is amazing. But this blew my mind. Compare it to a live performance by the King and see for yourselves...

@diskopotiro yes he does..it's called using a technique known as Reinforced Falsetto, which gives you a thinner sounding voice(like King Diamond) than ur usual falsetto(which is what Ripper is doing here.) The whole key is breath control really. There are disadvantages to using Reinforced Falsetto though, For example, your full range and what you can do in your natural voice becomes more limited when you're using it. I'm not a person that can fully explain it to you, but that's the basic idea.

They have different styles. In the world of music, there's no such thing as "better than", unless you have two people playing the exact same genre, and one of them goes off or something. Mayorga is great, but Jordison, let's not forget, plays the drums, the bass, the guitar, and is also a PRODUCER/ENGINEER.
