he's the best of the best .. a voice heard only for once in a life time ..i wish if people still singing like this .. songs we can understand .. without the loud music .. but now while we're hearing the song .. we keep searching for the singer voice ..
I am looking the Ray Charles' albums: Invites You To Listen A Portrait Of Ray Renaissance True To Life Come Live With Me and can't find them. Anybody,- help me. Vagif / Email: vagif_seidov@mail.ru
The first version I heard of this song was by Betty Carter who you may all know recorded and tour with Ray back in the day. I like her version but this is beyond measure as it is dripping with remorse!
@subg88 "Yesterday" is not "The sun died!!!. Two different songs. The original song was from a French Singer Nicoletta and the original title is "Il est mort le soleil" . The small story is that Ray Charles listened to Nicoletta's album and loved it and asked her if he could record the song in english!

Wow amazing, thank you for sharing this. I really hear quite a bit of Nina Simone here, as in where she got her inspiration, which is quite amazing really. I'm in love with this. Thanks again.
@bluessoul Or actually you know what, Ray may have been taking some inspiration from Nina now that I look at the dates. I don't know. It's late, I'm half-past drunk. And all I know is that I love them both...
English version of "Il est mort le Soleil" by Nicoletta.
