  • Yesterday! This is the line the Beatles got their song from:-). Nothings new under the sun.

  • @1johnlangford2

The Beatles wrote "Yesterday" before this song was written. This song was published in 1968, "Yesterday" is from1965.

  • @subg88

  • @subg88 "Yesterday" is not "The sun died!!!. Two different songs. The original song was from a French Singer Nicoletta and the original title is "Il est mort le soleil" . The small story is that Ray Charles listened to Nicoletta's album and loved it and asked her if he could record the song in english!

  • @ametrus

    Thanks for the newsflash.

  • Great!!

  • I could never choose between "Don't Say Naw", "When I Stop Dreaming" or "The Sun Died" as a favorite from this album. Thanks for posting!

  • Wow amazing, thank you for sharing this. I really hear quite a bit of Nina Simone here, as in where she got her inspiration, which is quite amazing really. I'm in love with this. Thanks again.

  • @bluessoul Or actually you know what, Ray may have been taking some inspiration from Nina now that I look at the dates. I don't know. It's late, I'm half-past drunk. And all I know is that I love them both...

  • Oh my Lord . This song touches my very soul.

  • i wish i lived in those times
