  • The event was the introduction of two new works. One, the Dream of Geronteous, by Sir Edward Elgar, and the other, this work. Ralph was an unknown, and he upstaged the more famous Elgar at this concert. Everybody went away humming Vaughan Williams, not Elgar. Just listening, one can realize why.
