I said it in my very first comment, where I said it just in order to assure the video's maker that I didn't criticise it because of some nonsensical religious view, but because I'm against this kind of behavour on principle. Why I was here, I don't remember, since I watched it a long time ago (I'm reasonably sure that it was a few months back, rather than one month like youtube claims). Most likely a video that youtube recommended me, since I spend way too much time here debating creationists.

I agree. The bible is most likely the most horrifying book I've ever happened to read, and many people who believe in it are no better. But anyway, I'm reasonably sure that the religion wouldn't have even survived this far without threats of infinite punishment for finite misdeeds. This is how most religions survive, by taking advantage of some deep seated psychological traits of humans.
