Do you think they will make a game version of Resurrection?
Check out my game review on the game on the 360. Thanks for your opinion on the dvd series. Very cool intro buddy. It reminded me of Revolver Ocelot from MGS game.
yeah, the big problem with Afro Samurai is that people get caught up in the adrenaline of it and suspend their ability to cognitively process it properly. The show is not about the action, as a general rule, no good action show/movie is actually about the action. Everyone should know that Afro is probably never the good guy by any means. He's very mentally damaged and quite selfish, which is plain obvious by the end of Resurrection. The series is far more rich when you see he's not the good guy.
@CisQo5 if thats true, why didnt he ditch it after the first series/movie? he had gotten revenge, yet he kept it to invite further conflict? i think the headband itself eventually became the goal, albeit an indirect one at times
@shitakemushroomninja he did. Notice how he just haphazardly discarded the #1 headband, as well as his sword? (it's literally the first real thing you see in Resurrection, after the intro/dream sequence, I think). t was all about revenge. Here's a hint to help you digest the overarching story better. Justice was not the bad guy, in fact he's barely a villain in the series so far. Afro is the asshole of the series by far, and deliberately so. And the only real bad guy is his resurrected father.

im a HUGE fan of Afro Samurai to, and ya...if you havnt seen Ressurection im not gunna spoil it for you but it ends at a major cliff hanger, so yeah most likely they will make Afro Samurai season 3 :D
i love Anime...but Afro Samurai just blew everything away, its got my 2 favorite voice actors now, awesome story and characters and just...AH i love it so much!

However at the end of the credits of Resurrection it shows a 20 second scene of an unknown warrior slash samurai and he says " been waiting a long time for you" then for a brief instant you catch a glimpse of the Cowboy dude who was number 1 in the last series. How's his still alive, i have no idea but i think it has something to do with that they were both located inside that strange alternative world where Afro defeated him.

I believe you're getting that number from the commercials saying the DVD has 2 hrs of special features. While I'm sure they cut some to fit it into the Spike block, I doubt it was that much. Most of that is likely behind the scenes stuff. We'll find out after February 3rd...

Well yeah anyway very nice, 5/5, and I'll definitely get Resurrection.
Bloopers are kind of a trademark by now, but this one was genuine although it didn't actually hurt. Yeah, I plan to get Resurrection too and I saw it already for free. ;)

I wouldnt say its the same plot, just that you don;t feel his anger like you do in the first one and again, the bad guy's motive is weak and they're just not as cool as Justice's from No.1 The opening scene from Resurrection is as cool as No.1's though.
True and No.1 is better, but it does have 2 of the 3 things you mentioned: better animation a better theme song than No.1. Compare the AFRO SAMURAI opening to the song at the end of my vid.

Samuel L Jackson does do a good job. He can be a litle annoying as Ninja-Ninja but overall I enjoyed both his roles. DO check it out. ;)

hmm good point...
but for a sequel to be really successful you need stuff like
improved animation, better story outline, more kick ass songs.. for most people they prefer the first series to the second / third.. (in my opinion)
